Kitchenaid Dishwasher Parts

Removed the 4 Torx (T-20) screws to remove the bottom tray, loosened the 2 steel adjustable hose clamps and disconnected the hoses from the old pump. Removed the 2 Torx screws from the drain pump mounting bracket and the 2 that mount the pump to the bracket. Discarded the old pump, reversed the above process for installating the new pump and the dishwasher is functioning normally again. All in well under 30 mins. Read more

The PC board was bigger than the original so had to modify the mounts, the pump and rotor are pretty straight forward but would have much easier with another pair of hands. It took about 2 hours start to finish. One and a half days to get the parts, fantastic service. A new dishwasher is $1300.00. the parts were $314.00, so more than worth fixing. Read more

One of the two springs on our 25-year-old dishwasher broke with a loud "bang" five days ago. This is an easy fix, involving the removal of only the bottom access panel (two screws). However, we have a wooden insert covering the door, so that the dishwasher matches the cabinets. This makes the door MUCH heavier than normal, and so the door springs are not stock, but are heavy-duty. I didn't know what springs to buy. Our Kitchen Aid mixer was shipped without a handle on the arm that raises and lowers the bowl. Apparently it was a cost savings measure on some models. Kitchen Aid support was no help. I searched Appliance Parts Pro, found the part, ordered it and was able to install with only a rubber mallet. Price and shipping was fair. Read more

I turned off power and unplugged the touch panel ribbon cable. After restoring power and closing the dishwasher, it started running a drain cycle--this suggested the issue was the touch panel. Replacing the panel was pretty simple. Remove 6 screws (need a torx) bit, unplug the ribbon cable, take off the control board and the handle, and then reattach the new touch panel.
