I can't believe that we lived with this shelf bar continually falling off for years due to a broken end cap. Easily found the replacement end cap on AppliancePartsPros for our 18 year old refrigerator. The "repair", if you can call it that, took perhaps 30 seconds -- remove old broken end cap, insert new one. Done. No more shelf bar falling off. One of life's little annoyances just went away. I purchased replacement parts to completely replace basket, face plate, and rollers. I received exactly what I ordered. The only problem I had was removing the part(s) from the shipping box. I thought the part came assembled (as rollers had been installed onto the basket), but the face plate had not been snapped into place. Had to take the back cover off. It was very tight to remove the fan that sat in the drip pan but did get it off, was able to apply the same level of cursing and got the new pan installed, installing the drain tube was a breeze. Found the parts price very reasonable. Hoping the Whirlpool redesigned the pan so I won't have to do it ever again. I was surprised at how bad the quality of their original part was. Contacted Kitchen Aid to find the part and needed and was told they won't sell it as a single piece, Had to buy the entire drawer set up (drawer front, drawer back, wheels, trim...).
