I was cleaning the supply hose filter screen constancely, I had no Idea there was filter screens in the pump intakes on the machine. once I found them and replaced them, I had plenty of water, so don't buy supply hoses with the screens in them until you check to see if your machine has them already. I spoke with the experts at parts pro and they suspected the main power board. I ordered the main power board along with the control panel. Since I was taking everything apart I decided to replace other components as well- thermostats, thermistor , sensor wire. When I was all done the old LG was back to working like new. Replaced all three dampers and then replaced locking gaskets for the top spring mounts for the drum, replaced the old feet pads I had and works like a charm! Read more

I also noticed one of the two water recirculation outlets near the front door was no longer spraying water. When I took it all apart, I found that these two tub water recirculation outlets are both connected to the pump.. one was clogged. The impeller on the drain pump was no longer spinning with the motor.. looks like it was worn on the inside.. when I took the pump apart it was full of scale. I discovered the drain hose was defective and leaking at the elbow. I ordered a new drain hose from appliance parts pros and fixed the problem in literally 15 minutes. The part was less than $25 and it saved me time and frustration having to deal with LG and a repair tech. Also, I saw that most of the parts were very cheap and I realized it didn't warrant me purchasing an extended warranty when I could buy the parts and fix problems myself for less. Read more

I figured after 10.5 years that it might be time to replace the dispenser hoses because I was noticing black stuff in the dispenser trays. I replaced two or the four hoses and clamps on the far left side and for good measure the hot water inlet valve. Our 10-year-old LG WM2487HWMA front load washer had gradually developed multiple problems.
