An online search for LG washing machine parts came up with a repair video from Appliance Parts Pros. I watched the video. I ordered the parts from Appliance Parts Pros, and all items were in stock and delivered within a couple... Read more

This inlet hose routes incoming water from the washer's fill valve into the machine to support proper filling. Replace a cracked or leaking hose to stop drips, prevent water damage, and restore reliable fill performance.
I figured after 10.5 years that it might be time to replace the dispenser hoses because I was noticing black stuff in the dispenser trays. I replaced two or the four hoses and clamps on the far left side and for good measure the hot water inlet valve. The inlet valve was okay but the screen had all kinds of crap in there that I couldn't clean out so now I have an extra solenoid just in case one of the others fails. While I was at it I removed the dispenser and cleaned the calcium build up on... Read more

Washer not draining or leaking water? A faulty drain pump assembly is often the cause. DIY repair typically takes 1 hour with video guidance.
I ordered the parts myself. A prominent appliance store in town told me it would be very difficult to get the parts needed. However, I found it to be relatively easy! After taking apart the washer (with a little help from Youtube). I made the repair myself, and now my wife can do the laundry! Read more

Seals the opening between your front-load washer door and tub to prevent leaks. Replace when torn, deformed, or leaking. Confirm fit with your model.
I sat an watched a wash cycle. When it came to drain cycle I could hear the pump making a grinding noise! Door bellow seal leaked too. I ordered new pump and housing, new door bellows seal. The clearance of the pump impeller and housing are real important. I have jet Skies and I knew it is an issue. Watched the video on the repair. Gave me all the instructions to take it apart. One thing it did not show. Lube the new seal mating surface with laundry detergent. It went right on. I have never... Read more
Seals the temperature sensor where it passes through the washer tub. Replace if worn or leaking to prevent water damage. Confirm fit with your model.
After watching the video carefully and taking notes for step-by-step dismantling of the LG washer, I took it apart methodically placing each item on a table in the order removed. I was able to remove and replace the bearings with no problems following the tips and tricks. The spider did not seem to be in bad shape but since I had a new one, it seemed reasonable to replace it as well, but it was difficult to extract the old one from the drum. The bolts are assembled with weld glue, so it is a... Read more

All the plastic part does is act like a lock to hold the drawer closed. be sure to get the slides positioned correctly on the drawer before attaching the screws. Read more

Concrete balance weight mounts to washer outer tub to stabilize drum during spin. Replace if cracked, broken, or missing to restore proper vibration control.
My problem was a broken spider. I followed your excellent video, but have some additional input that should be incorporated in a new video showing the required upgrade procedures and parts required to repair an early model with damaged front tub half using currently available parts. Don't expect everything to go as easy as the video. 1) Used 4lb. brass hammer to drive shaft from bearings. 2) Torqued spider bolts to 20ft lbs. with thread locking compound. 3) attached rubber seal to front tub... This heater assembly warms the wash water inside the tub so the control can reach and maintain the selected temperature. Replacing a failed element restores proper heating performance and helps return cycle times to normal. What it does:
This is an electric solenoid water inlet valve that controls the flow of cold water into the washer. It opens when the washer calls for water during fill cycles and closes to stop flow when the correct level is reached. Replace this valve if the washer is not filling with water, filling too slowly, leaking from the back, or continuing to fill when it should stop.
I first replaced the drain hose, as this seemed to be a common problem with LG. The washer continued to leak, I then noticed it was leaking from the valve assembly, inlet. It took 10 minutes and now the washer works fine with no evidence of water. Read more
