Dropped light panel by removing two screws with socket set. Unplugged two terminals and unclipped the light socket from the base. Then just clipped the new socket onto the base, plugged the connectors onto the terminals and remounted the base. Total job was less than 15 minutes. Read more

I took off the front cover and checked the sensors which were all good. Then I removed the cover for the heating coil after finding that it appeared open. Found that the coil had in fact broken but the break was not visible just by looking in. Located the break in the coil within an insulator near the back. I replaced drum rollers, axle shafts and front bearing kit. Still had noise. Ordered Idler Arm, Belt Tension Pulley & Washers. I ordered parts at 3:30 pm on a Wednesday, received new parts at 11:30 am Thursday. The instructions & videos were very simple to follow and provided excellent tips. Replaced timer, thermostat, a thermal fuse, the pair of thermal cutoff switches and finally the heater element. Hard to say what the final fix was that did the trick -- I am guessing it was the heater element although the old one appeared to have good continuity. • Won't start

Replace the water temperature sensor and still had the error code. While I had the back of the machine open I ran the washer. I traced the black wires from the temperature sensor and wiggled them as the washer was running. At one zip tie every time i moved the wires the washer would stop running and the error code would flash. Sure enough, like many others posted, the vibration from the machine had split the wire. My dryer lint filter was clogged beyond regular cleaning due to its age. After 15 years of daily use it was time to replace. In.the process of determining why the dryer was taking so long to dry loads, I noticed the filter housing gasket had torn off somehow which allow a lot of lint to pass through into the dryers main housing.
