So I ordered the burner and Ithe switch because I wasn't sure what part was defective. I pulled the oven out and I removed the 6 1/4 inch screws on each side of the glass top as well as the 2 Phillips head screws on the back, removing the 2 1/4 screws on the shield on the back gIves you easier access to them, then lifted the glass top up on the front to access the switch and burners. Removed side moldings top molding and glass, removed broken handle. Reinstalled new handle, all modings and glass. Read more

• Element will not heat
• Little to no heat when baking
• Oven not heating evenly

Removed 2 sheet metal screw pulled element out about 2 inches. Removed two Spade connections. Removed the element from the oven. Inserted the new element into the over, connected the two spade connector. Reinstalled the two sheet metal screws. Set the oven to bake for testing and tested until the element turned red. First, it was going to cost $95 for an appliance guy just to look at it! Replaced the burner Infinite switches for the burners having the issue. Here are the latest part numbers for this model Maytag. Left rear (LR) and right rear (RR) burners are both 6" and use the same switch. Part # WP3149404. Left front (LF) is an 11 1/2" burner Part# W10167742. The right front (RF) burner is a double burner 6" center and 9 1/2" outside burner Part #WPW10149355. Very simple repair. Ordered new cook top, arrived in 2days. Replacement was very easy. Part was perfect fit and had same markings as factory top. Repair only required a philips head screwdriver. Removed 8 screws holding top on, lifted front up and unplugged two electrical connectors, them removed top. Flipped top over and removed the four burners (8 screws). Moved burners to new top, installed 8 screws, set top on stove, reattach electrical connectors, then reinstall 8 screws to hold the top on. Only issue I... Read more

I have a Jenn-Air microwave that didn't turn on and had no lights. It just stopped working completely. I unplugged the unit and had to remove the rear cover using a *security screw kit* that prevents people from opening the rear panel. Once opened, I removed the fuse and testing it with an OHM reader to determine that the fuse went bad. Turned off breaker to oven, took pictures of existing broil, supporting bracket and shield attached to oven, removed screws holding element, support piece and shield, removed bracket and shield, pulled out the element, took another close-up picture of the wires connected to element, removed wires, connected new element, turned breaker on to see if connection is correct, turned it off, installed element, shield and support bracket (in this order). It was a simple process to enter the model number of our glass cook top stove; learn the part number required and order. It arrived in 2-days -- least expensive shipping method. The cooktop was removed with a Phillips-head screwdriver by 4 small sheet metal screws on the right and left side of the oven. The oven's power to the cooktop was easily disconnected via two "clips" and one ground. Would have cost way more with an appliance repair shop and it's an easy do-it-yourself repair. Read more
