In an attempt to clean the range from the grease-gunk build-up, I had to remove the burner heads. Unfortunately, the 2 most used burner heads had immovable screws that locked them into the orifices underneath. Tested the High Voltage Capacitor which showing no capacitance and no resistance. Replaced it together with the diode and the line fuse no longer blew and the microwave is back in service. Read more

• Door won't open after self cleaning cycle

I knew the door latch was suppose to lock for self clean and it wasn't, so I took the back off and after tracing out wires and the linkage to the door latch, determined that it was a faulty motor on the latch lock.
