Turned the microwave on its back. Took a hammer and screwdriver to punch out the small access door for the motor, unscrewed two screws holding the motor and unplugged the the wiring harness. Attached the new motor with the two screws and plugged the wiring harness back on. Finally, attach the access door with the screw. I ordered the replacement motor. I unplugged the microwave. Then I simply removed the turntable spindle by lifting it up off the motor from inside the microwave. Next, I removed the 7 screws holing the bottom of the microwave in place. I lowered the bottom of the microwave, giving me access to the motor. I unplugged the two wires connected to the motor, removed the 2 screws holding the motor in place, then put the new motor in place and reversed the steps to complete the job. Read more
