Looked at new part and realized there were only 2 screws that held the flap onto the door. Removed 2 caps off of screws with small knife and saved them. Removed 2 screws and the flap fell off into my hands. Disconnected wire harness. Connected wire harness for new flap and carefully pushed harness back into recess in door. Put screws back with caps. Closed the door to test and another wonderful job completed by homeowner!

Remove the ice maker by removing 2 screws in the front then pull the unit toward the front and unplug the wiring connection. The pipe will now be exposed. Remove the flexible piece from the front of the pipe that directs the water flow to the ice cube tray. Remove the wire tie on the front of the pipe and peel off the insulation surrounding the pipe. I took all the items out of the refrigerator. Removed the screws that hold the cover over the evaporator motor. Than for three hours used a hair drier to remove ice. The panel was frozen on if you pull on it it will break. Soaked up all the water removed the panel and took the fan blade off.
