Ge double wall oven Marcelo A. • Parkland , FL • September 18, 2015
Oven was dead and I noticed the display would flicker upon opening the top oven door. Thanks to the awesome appliance parts diagram at this website, I realized that changing the switch would be a fairly simple and inexpensive gamble, before calling a repairman. Turns out that was all I needed, and this $6 part saved my $2,600 oven !!

Our son tried to do us a favor by using the selfclean feature on our oven while we were out of town this caused one or more internal fuses to blow Daniel A. • Magnolia , TX • May 13, 2017
Not sure which fuse might be bad, I ordered all three. The oven is almost twenty years old, so I figured it couldn't hurt to replace them all. The breakers marked oven were tripped, so we figured everything was off. Wrong! The 220 and the 120 are separate breakers. We found this out the old fashioned way, we got shocked.
Anyway, the fix is pretty simple. Take off decorative trim. Only one screw on each side holds it on. Remove four screws securing oven to cabinet, and slide oven out. Our oven...

Flames shot out of one of the appliance knobs. Blake V. • Midland , TX • December 02, 2017
Immediately unplugged the gas range, turned off the gas, removed the range and disassembled it. Obviously the harness that controls the gas was damaged so I did a Buick google search and found all of the parts I would need on here. Placed the order and fixed my range 2 days later.

This limit switch is a position-sensing safety switch used in cooking appliances. It signals the control when a mechanism reaches the correct position, helping the unit start or stop related functions reliably.
- Detects the position of a latch, cam, or actuator and opens/closes the circuit accordingly
- Allows the control to enable features only when the correct position is reached
- Common symptoms: related feature won't start or finish, motor runs but never "signals done," intermittent operation, or no continuity change when the switch is actuated
- Restores dependable interlock/position feedback to the control
What's included: 1 limit switch Install notes:
- Disconnect power at the breaker before servicing
- Access point varies by model; the switch is typically mounted near the associated mechanism it monitors
- Move wires over one at a time and note terminal orientation to match the original setup
- The actuator is aligned and the switch clicks/changes continuity when pressed; test operation before reassembly

No heat from either broil or bake Nicholas W. • Twin Peaks , CA • October 21, 2018
Started with checking temp control in the oven. Worked fine. Next was testing high limiter switch. Every place stated switch was on the back panel, found mine place under the right burner cartridge. Took some finagling to expose it. Bought a new one, two wires to disconnect along with two small screws to secure switch, slapped it in and I was in business. Oven that was out of commission for over two weeks (never buy a part from Sears, always deal with APP's!) was on the road again!

This protective fuse safeguards the appliance's electrical circuit. When an overcurrent or short occurs, it opens the circuit to cut power and help prevent damage. Replacing a blown fuse can restore power once the underlying issue is corrected.
- Opens the circuit when current exceeds its design limit or a short is detected
- Helps protect control and other internal components from electrical damage
- Typical symptoms of a failed fuse include no power, dead display/controls, won't start, or immediate power loss
- An underlying electrical fault is likely present and should be diagnosed
What's included: 1 fuse Install notes:
- Disconnect power at the breaker or unplug the appliance before servicing
- Replace only with the exact type and rating specified for your model; never bypass or upsize a fuse
- Inspect wiring and components for the root cause of the blown fuse before restoring power
- If servicing a microwave, follow the service manual and discharge the high-voltage capacitor; consider service due to shock risk

Kitchenaid oven stopped working after self clean Jon V. • Leavenworth , WA • March 24, 2016
I read this is a common problem with Kitchenaid stoves. The most common part to replace is the thermal fuse on the back of the stove. I replaced it and the stove still didn't work. I learned through the help of this website that there is a second fuse that may have blown also. It was difficult to find through the help of one of your staff members I located it in the front instrument panel of the stove. I ordered the recommended part that had failed and installed it today.
