It is an easy job if you are good with screw driver and some general sense of things. I turned off the breaker to the Cook top, I then got under the counter and pushed the cook top through the opening in the counter, placed the cook top over the opening on the counter to stabilize it and then I used a Phillip head screwdriver removed all the screws , lifted the broken glass and put on the new glass, replaced the screws, placed the cook top back into the opening on the counter and turned back on the breaker. Ordered the part and installed myself. Received payout from home warranty of $750 since they could not source the part quickly. I decided to order the part online through appliancepartspro since they were the best price. Repair was very straightforward and easy. 10 screws around the cooktop for easy removal, longest part was vacuuming out the old glass. The cooktop set into place and really did not need any sealer since it was heavy enough to sit back in place without moving.

Take out three small screws in the front. Then the stove top lifts like a hood on car. Remove 2 screws per row of elements. Then remove the broken top. Install new top. Reverse the previous steps to finish.
