Fix F10 error code or oven that won't heat with this control board. Manages temperature, timer, and heating modes. Moderate DIY repair with video guide.
I researched online and found that it was probably one of two things wrong: the heat probe or the control board (clock). Since the probe was less expensive, I ordered that on Appliance PartsPros. It arrived SO quickly, and with the repair video I easily replaced it. BUT... it still got the F10 reading. Sigh. So I found a local appliance repairman (I didn't want to replace a more expensive item if it turned out I was wrong). He was a good one: he listened to my story, said he was sure it was the... Oven won't heat or ignite? This igniter kit solves slow heating and ignition failure in gas ovens. Moderate DIY repair in 30-60 minutes.
Followed linked video instructions and replaced with new flat style Oven Igniter Kit. Some repair info background, while out shopping for a replacement oven ($1000 plus) a terrific salesman listened to the issue with my current oven and recalled his same issue and solution. I thanked him for his time and recommendation. I went home and searched "oven Ignitor" where I was led to this website. The video showed the same exact flat oven igniter and how easy it would be to replace it. I immediately... Read more

Washer won't start or stops mid-cycle when door opens? The door switch detects door position for safe operation. DIY repair in 10-20 minutes with video.
The lid shut-off switch is located behind the lid How About That. I order the plastic ball the hold the lid in place plus the lid shut off switch. I watched the video that AppliancePartsPros.com has on how to replace the lid and the plastic balls. I removed the lid to get to the two philips head screws to remove that part of the shut-off switch. I took the new switch out of the package and compared it to the old switch. I assembled the switch just like the old switch look using the new... Read more
Burned or damaged terminal block causing power loss? This connection point fixes arcing, sparking, and burnt wire issues. DIY repair with basic tools.
I determined the hidden bake element below the oven cavity was not working, because the bottom of the oven was cold during normal use. If you have a built-in microwave + oven combination (mine is KitchenAid Model No. KEMS308SSS05), this is a difficult repair. The engineer who designed this oven should be invited to succeed elsewhere. It is impossible to access the bake element from the inside of the oven, so the How To video associated with this part will not help you. I had to remove the... Read more

Burner not heating or only some rings work? This triple-ring element restores flexible heating zones. Moderate DIY—requires lifting cooktop.
Did research to determine what might cause problem. Determined that it was either the infinity switch or the triple haliant burner. Watched several YouTube videos on testing the infinity switch, but none exactly replicated this switch. Chatted with AppliancePartsPros.com on a Saturday on how to test, but later determined I needed more information, so I posted a question on the APP page for the triple burner. Received a quick response from APP which isolated the problem as the burner, not the... Read more

Before we replaced the board, my wife tried to replace just the element. We had one we had ordered several years ago when this same thing happened. When that didn't work we replaced the board and could see where the old board was damaged so we figured this was the solution. It would have been except the bottom element my wife used to replace the old element (which was fine but had been thrown out figuring the new one was new so why keep the old one) was 1" shorter in the back than the old... Rear drawer glide for range storage drawers. Mounts to the back of the drawer to enable smooth sliding. Replace if broken, cracked, or missing.
First off, shipping was ridiculously fast. Ordered at 3:30pm EST, shipped same day, and arrived at my house by 10:30am the following day. This was with standard shipping. Granted, the package only was delivered from one state away, but WOW, was not expecting that. Replacement of the control board was much easier than I expected. I truly had it fixed in 15 minutes. The video was pretty much spot on. I user a single edged razor blade to carefully go around the edge of the overlay and remove it... Read more
Oven not heating or baking unevenly? A failed bake element is the likely cause. This DIY repair typically takes 15-30 minutes with basic tools.
I wanted to get the upper oven baking element replaced; it hasn't been working for a few months. This double oven has had two other issues, there is a fan that comes on to cool the electronics panel, That fan has made excessive noise and it operates for 2-3 hours after the oven turns off. The other problem with the oven is the Self-Cleaning feature runs for about 15-30 minutes and then turns off with an error code. I've had a local appliance repair person in to address the error code and... Read more

If your range burner won't adjust temperature or stays on high, the infinite control switch likely failed. Direct plug-in replacement, 15-minute DIY fix.
I first diagnosed the problem by replacing the burner control (Infinite switch) with one from a smaller burner (one that I knew worked fine). That seemed to solve the problem. I ordered the correct control for the big burner on Saturday night, it arrived Tuesday and installed it in less than 10 minutes using only a Phillips screwdriver. Remember to unplug the stove before performing any service. Take this time to clean around and under the stove. (You know it needs it!) Read more
