I removed the lower back panel,I disconnected the two wire plug and removed three mounting screws and removed the motor.Then I removed the threaded fan nut and installed the fan on the new motor.Installed the three mounting screw to the bracket and reinstalled the plug.Replaced the lower panel,runs like new Read more

Replaced the motor, however not the easiest to do with the older refrigerators. First I had to remove the shelf that hold the ice bin. There is a small screw midway underneath the tray. Once removed the shelf is loose but still hard to remove. There is a side panel that is slotted andonce removed the shelf can then be removed, but not knowing that it is a very odd fitting unit. I was not able to find the exact part, so I ordered several different parts from various websites. There was one that did fit but the electrical connection was the wrong type. I clipped off the connection from the new motor and spliced on the connection from the old motor. Now it seems to be working like a charm. Read more
