Indicator light would blink three times, make a sound, but the dishwasher would not run. This was to address an E:09 fault code on a Bosch dishwasher. I swapped out the Circulation motor and heater assembly. The video given on APP.com was for a different model, but more or less the same. Two weeks ago, my dishwasher would not run. It would beep three times when you pushed the start button: the same signal it gives when the door is open. I used the troubleshooting steps I found at applianceblog.com to do a hard reset. (Hold START and WASH TEMP for five seconds, close the door, and wait 3 minutes) After that, it worked for about one week. When it started having the same issue again, the hard reset did not work. I've opened sump housing to check for clogging but it was clean. When I removed check valve to inspect it I've found out that the round part of the valve was missing so I figured it might've blocked the water exit at drain hose or something like that. So I pulled the dishwasher out to get a full access to drain hose connector and the pump. I spent a lot of time taking apart and cleaning the drain pump and hoses in my Bosch dishwasher. I still got the error that the drain pump wasn't right. So, after doing some research, I learned that the motor might be done and that seemed to be the only solution. My GE dishwasher (GDT605PMM0ES) had started going in and out of service but if I unplugged it and plugged it back in it would work a few more times. Then one day that old trick didn't work anymore. The fix was very easy. Control assembly is easy to access by removing 5 phillips screws. Unplug the wiring from the old assembly being careful to note which wire goes to which connector. Install the new assembly and connect the wiring. Read more

Remove upper and lower baskets for access. Remove 4 Torx screws holding drain/filter assembly, accessing last screw by rotating the water duct clockwise. Be sure to first un-clip the water duct at top and rear of dishwasher so that it can be moved. (Take the opportunity to remove accumulated deposits behind the water duct). I viewed youtube videos and followed the instructions on how to determine the cause of the problem. I cleared the lines and poked my fingers in to check for obstructions. But in the end, the drain pump was the problem. The pump came in the mail the next day. The job required the pump and only one of the hose clamps as the original setup has one single ear clamp which can be removed with wire cutters and a standard one which I re-used. The water just sat in bottom of the tub, but the dishes never got wet. The water would drain out at the end of the cycle. I took a chance that it was the circulation pump and not the control panel since everything else seemed to be working. I replaced the circulation pump &motor and the problem was solved. The hardest part was getting the DW out of the cabinet since it was a very tight fit due to the floor tile. The job of replacing the part only took about 15~20 minutes thanks to the repair... After inspecting screen and drain hose with no obvious cause, replaced drain pump. Removal of the pump was very straight forward. 3 screws, 2 electric connections, and 1 hose clamp was all that was needed. Read more

The control went thru a month or so of erratic behavior; the display would come on and flash and beep without any input on my part. Then it died completely. I did a little research on the GE website and determined likely cause waa a defective user interface board. I found AppliancePartsPros.com and contacted their tech support, who directed me to check the output of the control board across 2 pins for 13.5v DC. ORDERED NEW SUMP AND DIVERTER MOTOR, THE SHAFT ON THE DIVERTER MOTOR FELT A LITTLE ROUGH SO I WENT AHEAD AND REPLACED IT, THE SUMP REPLACEMENT WENT FAIRLY EASY. HAD TO MAKE A TRIP TO THE HARDWARE STORE FOR A HOSE CLAMP. ONE HOSE ON THE SUMP HAS A CLAMP THAT IS NOT REUSEABLE. YOU SHOULD ALSO ORDER THIS CLAMP. IT IS NARROW AND A REGULAR HOSE CLAMP WILL NOT WORK. Read more
