Checked circuit breaker to d/w first. Good. Went to website to see no power issues. Most all of them mentioned the noise filter being the problem. Removed filter from machine and found the corner melted where fuse is located. Ordered new filter, installed, and now have power to switches. All the information I found on the website really made this a easy job to get done. Read more

Got help from the internet to diagnose the problem. Seens that the neutral drain part of the transmission will not shift to spin unless there is a pause after draining. Thought the problem might be in the transmission but found the timer wasn;t allowing a pause after draining.therefore the machine would not spin. Replaced the timer and problem was solved. After unplugging the washer from the electrical outlet, the top of the washer was removed without a problem in order to allow easy access to the Central Control Unit (CCU) at the top of the back end of the washer. A cell phone was used to photograph the wiring layout and connectors plugged into the CCU, and then all connectors and the harness were carefully removed from the CCU without incident. On-line chat with AppliancePartsPros told me the error code was was for motor speed and they sent me a .pdf file on what to do to T/S it. Following the sheet I checked motor and Tack resistance and wiring - all OK, so I ordered a Motor Controller Ckt board assy. It arrived in 24 hours, during that time i watched the replacement videos and removed the old part. Normally I would do a better job of investigating my problem with what others have experienced and then proceed with the cheapest fix first. This time though I just knew it was the timer. I ordered the correct part, installed it, plugged in the cord, turned on the washer and still no drain and no spin. What a defeated feeling. So I went back to the web site. I replaced the timer...I talked with a tech to make sure the timer I ordered was the correct one. Watching the video was a great help especially with removing the knob.
