The timer washer knob would not turn the dial assembly. Daniel H. • Deridder , LA • June 12, 2021
I replaced the Timer knob components. Removing the cover that contains the Timer was simpler than I anticipated. Just remove the screws on the top of the back of the machine. Hold the cover and lift up and push to the left (facing the front of the washer). Removed the Timer Knob Clip with small needle-nose pliers. Grasped the Timer and turned counterclockwise to remove and unplugged the wiring clip. The timer is seated to the cover and held securely in place with one screw. I seated the new...

Whirlpool washer wouldn't drain Larry W. • Fairfax , VA • November 16, 2019
Based on an internet search, the likely problem seemed to be a bad timer-control switch because it would hum and click but not advance on a 17-year old washer. Repairman diagnosed the problem as a bad lid-switch-assembly and replaced it - problem solved. Now I need to return the Timer-Control.
AppliancePartsPros was very quick to ship the Timer-Control and have a great return policy for an unneeded part.

Timer control was not working Cornelio L. • West Covina , CA • April 19, 2014
I searched online and found Appliance Parts Pros to have the best price and an instructional video on how to replace this part. I've never done any type of repairs on a washing machine and figured I would give it a try. My washer is approx. nine years old and in good condition, and either I would repair this on my own or buy another. It took me about 30 min. to remove and replace the part, once this was completed I put the washing machine back into operation. Hurray!!!!!! did not have to spend...

After much reading on line regarding my problem. I decided to do any test that I could to try to diagnose and fix this myself if I could. This took a lot of time and patience to get the answers on how to go about this from "experts" as some of the info was contradictory. I was almost about to give up and buy a new washer with less electronic parts and buttons as advised by an honest appliance technician . I tried one more thing first which was to disconnect the lead wires connected to the MCU ....

This motor control board is created for use with washing machines. It's located inside the washing machine, where users can change settings and start or stop the appliance. It is tasked with regulating how quickly the washer spins during a cycle. Wear and tear or damage can cause the motor control board to malfunction. This may make it impossible for the washer to agitate or spin. If this happens, a replacement will need to be made.To replace this part, start by unplugging the appliance. Once the area is safe, the bottom front panel should be removed. This will provide access to the original motor control board. Pull on the motor control board until the wires can be reached. The position of these components should be noted before taking out the part. Replace with a new motor control board and replace the wires. This motor control board is designed to fit washing machines made by Maytag, Whirlpool, Kenmore, and KitchenAid. This is an authentic OEM replacement part that is sourced directly from the manufacturer. It's sold as a single part.

Whirlpool duet washing machine 7mghw9100mw1 with f06 error code Isaac G. • Mcallen , TX • November 03, 2014
We started getting the F06 code when on the normal cycle it was time to Rinse/Spin, pointing to a speed/tachometer issue on the motor. After several attempts of unplugging from power and restarting the cycle it would eventually start working for the rest of the laundry session. The Whirlpool technician after a brief look on the underside determined it was the motor and had to be replaced, even tough all troubleshooting tests on the motor were ok. I insisted that the probability was much higher...
