Seals the freezer door to prevent cold air loss and frost buildup. Replace if torn, cracked, or no longer sealing properly. Verify fit by your model number.
We first emptied out the freezer to another freezer, turned off the refrigerator, and let it defrost. We ordered a freezer door gasket from Appliance Parts and it arrived within a few days. We watched the video on how to replace it, followed the directions, and the gasket was successfully replaced. However, while the freezer was off, I cleaned the inside. Unfortunately, we turned it on before it completely dried and the water in the tracks caused the drawers to stick. Now we have turned... Read more
Ice maker stopped working or not making ice? This water inlet valve controls flow to your ice maker and dispenser. Takes about 30 minutes to replace.
A bit of online research and some component testing narrowed my issue down to either a faulty ice maker or a bad supply valve. Appliance Parts Pros had both of these, at reasonable prices, so I purchased and replaced both items. I recommend watching online videos to get a sense of what to do, and how to go about doing it. The repairs were relatively easy, other than this being a bottom freezer model hence the ice maker was difficult to access: I removed the freezer door (four screws) to get... Read more
Ice dispenser not working or only dispensing sometimes? The auger motor powers ice ejection from the storage bin. DIY-friendly repair in under an hour.
I first thought it was the auger in the ice container so I changed it and it was not the problem. I then talked to ApplianceParts customer service that it might be the yoke on the motor that turned the auger or even the motor itself even though it worked. I ordered the parts, the yoke was supposed to be able to be changed by itself but mind would not come off the motor shaft so I had to cut it off just to remove it from the unit so I had to change the motor anyway because of this. So I advise... Read more
Fix a refrigerator that won't cool, has a blank display, or won't defrost. This electronic control board manages temperature and cycles. 15-minute DIY repair.
Given all the symptoms, we figured that the control board went out. First, unplug the refrigerator. The control board was easy to access by removing a panel on the back of the fridge. I unplugged all the connectors and used a putty knife to release the board from the plastic retaining clips. There was some browning on the underside of the board and the back of the refrigerator that suggests one of the capacitors on the board blew. Install the new board by pressing it into the retaining clips... Read more
This is a water reservoir tank assembly used in the refrigerator's water dispensing or filtration system. It holds filtered water and supplies it to the dispenser or ice maker as needed. Replace this assembly if you notice water leaks inside the refrigerator compartment, reduced water flow from the dispenser, or if the existing reservoir is cracked or damaged.
I had a slow leak at the water inlet valve where the water line from the filter assembly connected to the water inlet valve. I determine that the water line had scratches in it which caused it to not seal. Had to buy the entire reservoir and filter assembly to get that water line. The replacement was smooth. It took about 30 minutes to swap out and it fixed the leak. Read more
This hook supports and secures the rear of refrigerator shelves to the back wall of the compartment. Located on the refrigerator's back wall, replace it when shelves sag, won't stay level, or fall out of position.
First, I watched your VERY HELPFUL videos showing exactly how to remove and assemble the parts. I removed the salvageable parts from the old shelf frame and reassembled it. Read more
Supports the refrigerator door hinge for smooth opening and closing. Replace this pivot block if it's cracked, worn down, or broken to restore proper alignment.
We turned off the circuit breaker. We then removed the light cover and then the control panel. We disconnected the Keyboard, Utah, plugged in the new one and turned the breaker on to see if everything worked. We realized that we did not need a new jazz board so that is being returned. The old Keyboard was removed, the new one attached and all the parts were put back. The frig works fine now at the recommended settings of zero and 38F. Read more
Freezer cold but refrigerator warm? The evaporator fan motor circulates air for cooling. Easy DIY repair with video guidance—takes about 30 minutes.
If the freezer is cold and the fridge is hot, logic would indicate that the fan blowing the cold air from the freezer into the refrigerator is not working. Searched the ApplicancePartsPros.com website for a fan in the freezer compartment and found the video on how to replace one. Followed the steps in the video to get the freezer partially disassembled and found the whole back of the freezer frozen over. Plugged the refrigerator back in and verified that the fan was not working. Unplugged... Read more
Freezer cold but fridge warm? Your evaporator fan motor circulates air between compartments. Most DIYers complete this repair in 1 hour with our video.
The fan has a very thin wire in it's coil, and when that wire breaks, you need a new fan. In a previous repair, i noticed that an ice build-up had dislodged the wiring on my fan and severed the coil winding. I was able to undo the winding a couple of turns and get it working again. But more recently, the fan stopped and there was no repairing it. So i ordered a new fan from AppliancePartsPros.com and it got here in very good time. The new fan was slightly different as the prongs seemed to be... Read more

Freezer icing up or fridge too warm? The defrost heater melts frost from evaporator coils to restore cooling. Typical DIY repair takes 20 minutes-2.5 hours.
Having never fixed a fridge before, I did a little research. The unit was not old & the cooling system was operating. Observing the frozen ice inside, I diagnosed it as the heat rod and/or it's thermostat as bad. I contacted ApplianceParts Pros, who assisted in confirming my theory. IMPORTANT NOTE: the sales advisor Joyce was truly an intelligent, knowledgable professional, NOT some "burger-order taker" usually encountered. This alone speaks VOLUMES. Subsequently, the parts arrived... Read more
