The Dishwasher Water Inlet Valve is an OEM part for Bosch dishwashers that is responsible for controlling the flow of water into the dishwasher at the start of each wash cycle. The water inlet valve opens to allow water to enter the dishwasher and then closes to ensure the correct amount of water is used during the cycle.
Symptoms of a bad Dishwasher Water Inlet Valve include:
- Inadequate water filling the dishwasher.
- Overfilling, which can cause leaks and potential water damage.
- Unusual noises coming from the valve area.
- The dishwasher not starting.
Causes of a bad water inlet valve can vary from mineral buildup from hard water, which can block the valve, to mechanical failure or wear and tear over time. Electrical issues can also affect the valve's operation, preventing it from opening or closing properly.
This OEM Bosch part can also be used on Thermador and Gaggenau appliances.

Thanks to Simon's excellent videos at...
