I had to remove my dryer so I could install a new floor. The dryer would not fit through the doorway with the power cord attached. Upper agitator lifts off or comes loose during wash cycles? This filter snaps onto the agitator base to trap lint and debris. Takes 2 minutes to replace.
Simply lift up the old filter and cap and discard it. The new assembly simply pushes down and on to the agitator base. It stays in place by clicking over a raised perimeter rib on the base. This is the easiest repair (short of screwing in a light bulb) that one could do. The hardest part was to identify which parts I needed to purchase. This switch also controls the tub filling water level based on air pressure via the attached vinyl tubing.
