Part Number: WPW10546285
The Ice Door Motor and Bracket Assembly is an OEM part for Whirlpool refrigerators. This part ensure that the ice dispenser operates smoothly, preventing room-temperature air from entering the freezer and maintaining the ice in its solid state.
Causes of a bad Ice Door Motor and Bracket Assembly can range from mechanical wear and tear on the motor itself, damage to the bracket that affects the door's alignment, or electrical issues that prevent the motor from receiving the correct signals.
Symptoms of a malfunctioning Ice Door Motor and Bracket Assembly include:
- The ice dispenser door not opening or closing properly
- Ice melting or clumping due to air leaks
- Unusual noises when attempting to dispense ice
This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.

Ice was melting and dripping on the floor and freezing up the ice crushing mechanism (driver shaft and motor) Jeffrey F. • Hillsborough , NJ • October 20, 2018
Replaced not only the ice chute door flap which was squashed from years of use but the mechanism and motor that operates the flap. The old mechanism seemed to work but it seemed a little sloppy or loose. I knew the flap was bad but for the extra few dollars I thought since I had to take the cover off anyway, why not replace the whole thing. I’m glad I did. The new motor and mechanism has been reengineered and is much tighter in the way it operates. The ice chute door seats securely and the ice...

This mechanical timer controls the sequence and duration of wash, rinse, and spin cycles in the washing machine. It advances through each stage of the cycle and signals the appropriate components to turn on and off. Replace this timer if the washer gets stuck on one cycle, skips cycles, won't advance, or fails to start.

Whirlpool washer wouldn't drain Larry W. • Fairfax , VA • November 16, 2019
Based on an internet search, the likely problem seemed to be a bad timer-control switch because it would hum and click but not advance on a 17-year old washer. Repairman diagnosed the problem as a bad lid-switch-assembly and replaced it - problem solved. Now I need to return the Timer-Control.
AppliancePartsPros was very quick to ship the Timer-Control and have a great return policy for an unneeded part.

I followed troubleshooting guide and repair videos offered on website, ordered replacement oven control board and reinstalled unit using only a 1/4 inch nut driver. Easy fix for do it yourselfer in 15-20 minutes. Make certain to have model number of appliance when ordering. Parts are somewhat pricey but AppliancePartsPros. were much more reasonable than local parts supply houses or other sources plus they offered 1 year replacement even on electrical stuff.

Broken control panel facia poor design of part used to open the dishwasher Tim G. • Naperville , IL • December 24, 2018
This piece fails due to poor design as the weak point of the part you grab to open the dishwasher door. This defect has been reported by a number of owners as a common failure point on this model dishwasher. This is a $90 piece of plastic and yes, it does the job of restoring the DW to fully functional. But due to the inherent design, this part is subject to failing again unless you remember to open the DW a bit gently, and not yank it open
You'll need a T20 Torx screw driver and a flathead...

42 inch Monogram refrigerator stopped cooling. Frank V. • Miami , FL • October 05, 2020
Replaced the Main Control Board Assembly along with the evaporator and condenser fan motors. I thoroughly cleaned the very very dirty condenser with a 4$ brush offered by the parts specialist and while I was at it, I changed the door seals and replaced one of the door trays. Beats the crap out of spending $10,000 on a new refrigerator that because of Covid 19 wouldn't be here before the middle of November.
Thank you Matt for your help!

This is a 60 Hz electromechanical timer that controls the sequence and duration of wash, rinse, and spin cycles in a washing machine. It uses a small motor and a series of internal cams and contacts to advance the machine through each stage of the laundry cycle. Replace this timer if the washer gets stuck on one cycle, skips cycles, won't advance, or fails to start altogether.

Timer control was not working Cornelio L. • West Covina , CA • April 19, 2014
I searched online and found Appliance Parts Pros to have the best price and an instructional video on how to replace this part. I've never done any type of repairs on a washing machine and figured I would give it a try. My washer is approx. nine years old and in good condition, and either I would repair this on my own or buy another. It took me about 30 min. to remove and replace the part, once this was completed I put the washing machine back into operation. Hurray!!!!!! did not have to spend...

GE Monogram side by side freezer and refrigerator would not cool; compressor not running Horace L. • Springfield , VA • December 22, 2019
This was a newer GE Monogram side-by-side unit that used an inverter compressor. I removed the inverter and used an ohmmeter to measure the resistance of each of the three windings. They were all very close to one another: about 6.8 ohms per winding. I concluded that the compressor was probably not at fault.
The inverter kind of burned or chemical-ish, and, when opened, showed an electrolytic capacitor had burst. I replaced the inverter with an overnight part from Amazon. It was the same...

Error code sy ce on the front control panel Dante B. • New Orleans , LA • January 15, 2015
We have a Frigidaire LGHS2667KE0. I’m not an appliance technician. Our refrigerator was not working. We were getting an error code SY CE on the front control panel. I tried unplugging it for about an hour and plug it back in. The refrigerator would cut off and on for about 30 seconds, shut down and beep leaving me with the same code. I called an appliance repair technician who pulled the main board from the front bottom of the refrigerator. He believed it was a relay and or the...

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You
The evaporator coil kept getting heavily frosted and the compressor ran almost continuously Reid D. • Santa Maria , CA • April 01, 2016
The defrost heater element looked good and had continuity. The defrost thermostats checked good, so that just left the Defrost Module as the likely suspect. I installed a new defrost control module and thermostats. The thermostats were inexpensive and the old ones could have been intermittent,
The only "tricky" part was finding out how to get to the back screw that holds the main control panel. Discovered that the return air duct surrounding the control panel needed to come off. It helps...
