I made the right initial move - I went to appliancepartspros.com and located the necessary parts. A video convinced me I could make the repairs myself. The correct parts were easily ordered and arrived quickly. I had no problem installing the parts using the knowledge I gained from the appliancepartspros.com video and the leak was fixed. Read more
Detergent door won't stay closed or latch broken? This dishwasher dispenser releases soap and rinse aid during cycles. DIY repair in 20-30 minutes.
Bought the replacement dispenser from APPros.com (of course). The video shows a front control panel, and our dishwasher has the 'hidden' control panel on the top of the door. So here's the difference: 1) You need to take out all the screws, except the two near the latch at the top. The other video shows only taking out the bottom six screws because the remainder of the screws hold the front control panel. I used a couple paint cans with rags on top to hold the corners of the door when... Read more
Plastic tube that connects the water tank to the dispenser and ice maker. Replace if cracked, leaking, or damaged to restore proper water flow in your fridge.
We noticed a puddle of water in front of the fridge a couple of months ago-dried the floor up both times and thought someone had dropped ice-or spilled water. A couple of weeks ago there was water dripping through the dropped tile ceiling in the basement. I shut off the water for the water supply to the fridge at the copper pipe in the basement and removed some of the tiles which felt a little damp. It still dripped all day. When my spouse came home he pulled down more of the tiles. It was as... Read more
Connects the pressure switch to the tub in top-load washers. Replace if cracked, punctured, or brittle to restore proper water level monitoring.
I replaced the water level switch and hose. After removing the hose, I found that it was clogged, and did not allow the water level to be sensed by the switch. A test after the replacement of the parts was successful. While filling the tub, the water shut off at the small, medium, and large levels as indicated by the switch. Read more
Dishwasher detergent cup won't stay closed or won't open fully? This soap dispenser lever controls detergent release. DIY repair in 15 minutes.
First replaced the latch, spring, and lever, but no improvement. Then I saw the lever arm on the other half of the door, which by position had to be the way that the timer interacts with the soap dispenser. After turning off the power to the dishwasher, I removed the switch cover (not obvious how -- a video would help: on the left, I slid the narrow rectangular plastic wire cover a little to one side and gently opened it on its little hinge, which is near the left side of the door, and then... Drain pump inlet hose for top-load washers. Connects the tub to the pump assembly. Replace if cracked, leaking, or has holes causing water on the floor.
The video was very helpful. the hardest part is getting off old rusted parts. I had to use a hacksaw to remove one of the old clamps. I had to open the bottom of the washing machine to remove of the other clamp. Putting the new parts on was easy. Getting everything apart was a challenge. Putting the new parts on was an easy 5 minute job. Read more
Delivers gas to your range's right front burner. Replace if cracked, bent, or leaking. Installs between valve and burner with wrench. Quick DIY fix.
It was a Friday afternoon, of course, I went to my local supply house for the part. I did look it up on your site first to see what I needed and how much I was looking to pay. I got there and "They don't stock those!" I said thank you and went to do more hunting. I ended up at what I found to be the only other parts place in town, and they could've ordered it, for much more than you, I don't mind paying more to get it now but am not going to wait a week to pay more. I said no and came home,... Read more

Fabric softener not dispensing or agitator loose? This washer dispenser cup sits atop the agitator. Simple DIY fix—twist off and replace in minutes.
Planning to spend hundreds on a new washer and was pleased to discover the agitator coupling was the only thing wrong. Very easy repair. The only additional feature we would have liked was a softener dispenser. Located a GE model of the same genre that used the same coupler and took the leap to get the agitator and dispenser cup for this model (WJRR4170). Replaced the old agitator with new one and dispenser cup. Worked perfectly! We now have a washer with dispenser that works great and saved... Read more
Replacement drain hose kit for dishwashers. Flexible tubing routes wastewater from the wash chamber to the pump outlet. Replace if cracked or leaking.
Our GE was installed about 8 years ago and was AWESOME for much of its early life. However, progressively its cleaning ability diminished. By replacing all the spray arms (clogged with debris), filters, drain hose, and sump...this dishwasher cleans like it did when it was new! Cost was around $100 (also replaced a wheel and the silverware basket) and labor was relatively simple. And to think...my mother-in-law said, "Wouldn't it just be easier to buy a new one?!?". Directs defrost water from the evaporator to the drain pan below your refrigerator. Replace if cracked, damaged, or clogged to prevent water pooling.
Pulled down the existing drain tube and installed new one. Tight area so it requires two hands to push up and attach the new tube. Ice dispenser paddle broken or won't close? This ice chute door and funnel assembly fixes stuck or damaged dispensers. Moderate DIY, 30-45 minutes.
Disconnect the power to the fridge. First remove the control panel by removing the one screw underneath and then insert a screwdriver into the small square hole underneath in order to pull the lower left of the control panel towards you. You are pulling against a plastic clip and you need to pull fairly hard. Once the lower left clip is free the other three come unclipped fairly easily. At this point it will make life easier if you unclip the wiring connector from the control panel and put it... Read more
This is a grommet and gasket assembly that seals the ice maker water fill tube where it passes through the freezer wall. It prevents warm air from entering the freezer compartment and stops moisture from building up around the fill tube opening. Replace this assembly if you notice frost or ice buildup around the fill tube entry point, water leaking near the ice maker, or if the existing grommet is cracked or deteriorated.
