Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Ice machine died only lasted a couple of years with problems from day one   Elizabeth H. • San Diego , CA • October 15, 2015

In 2012 I purchased an LG French door bottom freezer fridge. this thing was a problem from day one, I had to call 3 technicians where I bought it from- a nameless major retailer. through the 2 1/2 years I have had it, the problems were always with the ice cube maker, and finally, the motor finally stalled. I was able to revive it, but only for a short time- then I went to replace the unit all together and searched high and low until I came across Appliance Pros. I actually had no idea that 2 of... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Split/leaking water line on my lg refrigerator   Craig L. • Collinsville , TX • July 27, 2014

Removed the old line and replaced with the new. This is the sixth time I've replaced the line. Yes you read that right, the sixth time. Lines fail about every 6-8 months so I can change one out now in about 10-15 minutes. Bought the refrigerator in Feb '09 and the line first failed in March 2012. Since then I've had failures in as little as 4 months to as much as 9 months. Frustrating to say the least, but I'm a whiz at changing out the line :-) Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Ice maker quit working.   Lee H. • Cleveland , MN • June 04, 2020

This was easier then I made it. Originally took the actual ice maker out without removing the whole system from the door. There are 3 silver screws that do that hold the whole mechanism in place, as opposed to the 5 white screws that hold the ice maker in place. Replaced ice maker. Some confusion as to which part # it was as the model number cross reference shows the one I purchased was not for my model refrigerator when it actually was.
