Dryer bearing slides enable smooth drum rotation. Replace when hearing squeaking or rumbling sounds during cycles. Confirm fit with your model number.
A thumping sound (like sneakers in the dryer) started happening. We stopped using it so that it wouldn't get worse and potentially break more parts. Online research suggested rear drive shaft would be the problem. But also suggested while we have the dryer apart, would be smart to replace the belt and the slides/glides (green and white plastic tabs in front, attached to the door). We ordered all the parts from AppliancePartsPros.com and they arrived FAST. It helps to have two people for this... Read more
Dishwasher won't start or run? A faulty door latch prevents cycles from beginning. This latch assembly secures the door and activates switches. 5-10 min fix.
I first did quite a bit of interaction with the AI chat and doing Google searches, as well as entering the diagnostic mode for the dishwasher. (NOTE: Retrieve the technical sheet stored underneath your dishwasher behind the front toe kick panel to learn all about diagnostics!) From this research, I determined three possible issues: (1) the door latch assembly might be malfunctioning, (2) the soap dish actuator might be malfunctioning, and/or (3) the main control board was faulty. The door... Read more
Fix H2O error codes and water fill issues with this dishwasher pressure sensor. Monitors water level for proper fill cycles. DIY repair in about 1 hour.
Tried to fix with a non GE part, didn’t work. Your GE brand pressure sensor worked like a charm Read more
Dishes not drying or staying wet after cycle? This heating element heats water during wash and dries dishes after rinse. DIY-friendly replacement part.
I followed the directions on several websites for repairs. The obvious place to start is the heating coil and thermostat. I checked the continuity of the coil and it was good with a reading of almost zero resistance. Next I read that there is no thermostat controls on my GE dishwasher so I followed another webpage that said the Sensor Turbidity Assembly acts like a thermostat so I replaced that. Wasted effort as that switch sensor was OK. Normally it has a light on when it is working, a... Read more
Replaces broken or worn lower rack carriers and rollers. Installs on both sides of the dishwasher lower rack to restore smooth gliding along tracks.
I was able to find the parts on your website. I was a little worried because there were no photos, but the parts were correct, and it was an easy fix! Read more
This is the flexible rubber or vinyl gasket that lines the opening of your dishwasher tub, creating a watertight seal when the door is closed during a wash cycle. It prevents water from leaking out around the door during operation. Replace it when you notice water pooling on the floor in front of your dishwasher, or when the gasket is visibly torn, stiff, or pulled away from the tub.
Upon taking the door apart it looked like the leak was coming from the vent so I replaced the vent cap, vent seal and the transition piece. I did not have to change the seals. It took me a while to figure out how to get the door apart, but once I did, it was fairly straightforward. Read more
The Flood Switch Assembly is an OEM part for GE dishwashers that is responsible for detecting water levels in the dishwasher's base, preventing potential flooding by shutting off the water intake if an overflow is detected. This helps in avoiding water damage to your home and ensuring the dishwasher operates normally.
Symptoms of a bad Flood Switch Assembly include:
Causes of a bad flood switch assembly can vary from debris accumulation affecting the float's movement to electrical issues within the switch mechanism. Over time, wear and tear on the float or switch can lead to failures.
This OEM GE part can also be used on Hotpoint, RCA, and Kenmore/Sears appliances.
Removed the lower rack, removed the lower wash arm, removed the lower coarse filter, removed fine filter ( still no tools require to this point). Removed two 1/4" head screws with nut driver to then remove float switch, unplugged float switch, plugged in new switch, reinstalled filter, etc. This is a 5 minut job! Read more
Dishwasher won't drain or leaves standing water? This drain pump kit removes water at cycle end. Common DIY repair taking 15-30 minutes with basic tools.
I viewed youtube videos and followed the instructions on how to determine the cause of the problem. I cleared the lines and poked my fingers in to check for obstructions. But in the end, the drain pump was the problem. The pump came in the mail the next day. The job required the pump and only one of the hose clamps as the original setup has one single ear clamp which can be removed with wire cutters and a standard one which I re-used. There is a wire adapter in the kit that is necessary to... Read more
If your dishwasher won't drain or has standing water, this drain pump removes water at the end of each cycle. Moderate DIY repair, 30-60 minutes.

Replacement silverware basket for dishwashers. Holds utensils and flatware securely during wash cycles. Needed when original basket is cracked or broken.
Our GE was installed about 8 years ago and was AWESOME for much of its early life. However, progressively its cleaning ability diminished. By replacing all the spray arms (clogged with debris), filters, drain hose, and sump...this dishwasher cleans like it did when it was new! Cost was around $100 (also replaced a wheel and the silverware basket) and labor was relatively simple. And to think...my mother-in-law said, "Wouldn't it just be easier to buy a new one?!?". Fix a dishwasher that won't clean dishes or has weak spray pressure. This circulation pump distributes water to spray arms. Moderate difficulty repair.
We pulled the dishwasher out, took it to the garage and set it up on sawhorses and planks so we could access the bottom. We plugged it in and filled it with water and ran a quick cycle. As soon as the circulation pump kicked on water came spraying out from the rubber boot in the diverter assembly. It appears that there was a factory defect in the hose. Unfortunately, the water got into the pump motor over a few loads and was eroding the brushes on the motor. We decided to replace it as well.... Read more
The Lower Rack Roller is an OEM replacement part for GE dishwashers. This small but crucial component allows for smooth and effortless movement of the lower dish rack during loading and unloading.
Symptoms of needing to replace the lower rack roller include:
Causes of a faulty lower rack roller can include normal wear and tear over time, exposure to heat or moisture, or physical damage due to impact or mishandling.
This OEM GE part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore dishwasher models.
Dishwasher not filling with water or filling too slowly? The water inlet valve controls water flow into the tub. DIY-friendly repair with video guide.
I figured it was the valve, but searching on the Appliance Parts site, somebody said they fixed it by replacing the switch flood assembly. So I order both parts. The Switch Flood Assembly was easiest to replace, so I decided to try that first. When I pulled out the old assembly, I noticed it did not 'rattle', as the new one did. So, there is apparently a float ball that had gotten stuck. I put the new one in and poof.. it worked. The only update to the instructions is a reminder that the... Read more
Fix dishwasher not filling or H2O error codes with this water inlet valve assembly. Controls water flow into tub. Moderate DIY repair, about 1 hour.
It was one of 3 things basically, motherboard, pressure sensor or fill valve. I tried cleaning the pressure sensor to no avail. I proceeded to replace both the valve and the sensor because the parts were very inexpensive and the cost of a motherboard wasn't worth it. I completed the repair in about 1 hour and have ran it twice without incident . Read more
