The first part we ordered was the heating element. The dryer still wasn't heating so we ordered the thermostat. We received the thermostat, and got it put in the dryer still wasn't heating so I consulted my dryer manual and found out that even though there was electric to the dryer it still might not heat if the breaker was not all the way on, so I reset the breaker and voilà had heat. Our dryer seemed to be taking a long time to dry, often needing a couple cycles to complete the job. Then one day it stopped heating at all. After watching a couple videos and testing with a multimeter I figured out not only the thermristor had blown (can happen due to bad airflow) but also half the heating element was shot. THE WSHER WAS EASY BECAUSE THE DRAIN PUMP HAD TWO PENNIES INSIDE IT AND THEY CRACKED THE HOUSING.EASY FIX REPLACING THE DRAIN PUMP. WORKS LIKE A CHARM. DRYER WAS A BIT MORE WORK.I CHANGED THE IGNITER FIRST WITH YOUR ADVICE. STILL NOTHING. I THEN CHANGED THE COIL VALVE KIT. NO LUCK. NEXT WAS THE TEMP SWITCH ON THE PANEL.
