Whirlpool Dryer Parts

If I opened door and held door switch, started dryer, turned drum by hand, quickly closed door and pushed start again before drum stopped turning, dryer worked fine. Apparently the part of the motor that gives it more juice on start up went bad. Ordered motor on Monday, received on Wednesday. Blower wheel would not come off the shaft of old motor, chiseled off as shown in motor installation video. Took the door down, disassembled the door, replaced the striker, put the door together, attached to the dryer. Read more

Discovered the motor in dryer was making noise coming from bearing. Abviously by removing the back panel. Also replace tensioner which appeared to be a little tight. Went on You Tube to assist me in repair. Great resource on this fix and past repairs Read more

The replacement popped into place in about one minute. Only issue was which side faced out, but i soon realized seal is designed to only match up on one side. Read more

• No heat or not enough heat

I removed the front panel and observed the heating element while running the dryer. It was cycling off every minute or so and staying off for several minutes. Even though it was likely the high temp cycling thermostat I replaced both the 14, and 15 cycling thermostats which I think are the original factory units. That makes them nearly 35 years old. Purchased the triple burner and dual burner element. I added my model of stove and I was able to pull up diagrams of the stove parts. The parts were easy to find using the diagrams and the burner elements were marked 17 & 15 so I placed my order. Parts were here in a couple of days.
