Whirlpool Bake Element
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP9750213

The Bake Heating Element is an OEM Replacement Part for Whirlpool ovens, designed with push-on terminals. It measures 14-5/8" from the front to the mounting bracket, 19" in width, and 2-1/2" from the mounting bracket to the terminal end. The mounting holes on the bracket are spaced 1-7/8" apart, center to center. The terminals are designed as 1/4" male spades and the unit is rated for 2500 Watts at 240 Volts.

Causes of a bad bake element may include repeated heating and cooling cycles over time, electrical malfunctions, or physical damage from impact or exposure to spills.

Symptoms of a faulty bake element include:

  • Oven not heating up properly or taking an excessive amount of time to preheat
  • Hot or cold spots within the oven cavity, leading to uneven baking
  • Visible damage or discoloration to the bake element itself
  • Popping or sparking noises coming from the element area

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

This part fixes the following symptoms
  • Oven not heating evenly
  • Little to no heat when baking

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Our oven was turning out underdone baked goods.   Jack H. • Jonesborough , TN • April 03, 2021

The stove is about 19 years old. We had a difficult time getting baked goods to be cooked on the inside as well as outside (bundt cakes especially). I replaced the oven temperature sensor probe, used a digital oven thermometer (as well as the older type) to measure the oven temp. The older, dial thermometer hit and pretty much stayed at the set 350 deg F. The digital one showed a plus/minus 20-degree fluctuation and all seems well. We haven't baked a bundt cake to test, yet, but we will... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Bake element was broken   Gerald L. • Fort Worth , TX • May 31, 2016

I turned off the oven at the breaker box. I waited until the element had cooled down and then used a nut driver to remove two screws that hold the element plate to the oven wall. The element can then be pulled out slightly to expose the push on electrical connections. I disconnected the wires leading to the element. I kept the wires from retreating into the back of the oven by securing them with a clothespin each. I then called AppliancepartsPros.com to have them help me choose the correct... Read more

Ordered 2 replacement elements. Then performed the following: 1. Shut off power to cooktop (IMPORTANT) 2. Remove the brackets holding cooktop in. (under counter, I had 2) 3. Push up cooktop from under counter, you will need to lift cooktop about 3 inches from counter top. I used 2 furring strips to hold cooktop up. 4.
