This water level pressure switch senses air pressure from the tub and signals the control to stop filling at the correct level. Replacing a weak or failed switch restores proper filling, helps prevent over/underfilling, and allows cycles to advance.
The error code indicated the washer wasn't getting any water, although the basket was filling to an unusually high level. After checking the inlet hoses and their connections but without opening the top cover to see the actual water level pressure switch, I went ahead and ordered the part. After receiving the switch, I opened the cover and found the original switch had fallen off it's mounting (for who-knows how long ago) and was resting against the drum. Per a similar story and recommendation from one of the guys at AppliancePartsPros, I replaced the temperature control switch in the rear of the machine. Most time consuming part was locating the screws I dropped! Washer works like new again. Easy fix. Second success in a month...thank you again for the guidance and help and especially the Repair Forum! Read more

So, I ordered that part. I found in the comments a guy who did the same and then after replacing the part and it still didn't work replaced the thermal fuse. So, I tested the thermal fuse and it failed... Read more

However the water inlet valve outlet end for fill hose (not water source) and wire connections (supposedly for this unit) were oriented 180 degrees opposite. I had to gently remove the blue plastic valve off the metal support bracket and turn it around and press back in place. Fortunately it appears it was designed for either orientation. Also the solenoid had to be unclipped and also rotated. Again it was... Read more
