Whirlpool Wall Oven Heating Element

Went to YouTube for pictorial on the repair. Found it to be an easy replacement. Made a wiring chart, followed the reverse order of wiring. Installed part checked that part floated on its spring mounts and did not touch anything. Looked at YouTube on how to replace burner. Marked wires on each fitting with different color marker and took Ipad photo of underside while my wife held range top up. We had shut off range double breaker in basement. I took part to a local appliance parts house nd they ordered prt which they did not have in stock. Estimate 3days. I ordered a replacement burner from AppliancePartsPros.com and replaced it using a u-tube video to find out how to do it. I took pictures of the wiring before I took it apart and then removed the burner element from the glass tom, but I left all the wires attached. I screwed the new element to the glass top and then one by one I unhooked each wire from the broken element and then hooked them each back onto the corresponding place on the new element. • Element will not heat

The burners and drip pans that I previously ordered fit this stove perfectly. It is so much better cooking on the cook stove with the burners laying properly. I'm very pleased. My only complaint is that I wish more parts were available for this old stove, I really love it! Read more

Easy fix, took out the screws and disconnected the element. Make sure you unplug the oven!! replaced it with the new elements. oven is working good. Read more

First, I just unscrewed all nuts that are holding the frame and all surface elements. Once all parts, surface elements, control switches, are loose from the original glass, I just moved all parts to the new glass. Due to the weight of the glass, all actions have to be done carefully as I broken one corner of the glass couple of years ago when I replaced one of the control switch. Read more

Easy. Pulled the two screws that hold the top in place. Then lift the top and slide it forward 4 inches. Reach in and disconnect the two wiring harnesses (Squeeze the sides to release). Lift the entire top off and place it upside down on the table. Remove the four screws that hold the metal panel to the top. Flip this panel upside down. Turned off 40 Amp breaker. Removed shelves from oven. Removed two screws in back panel holding element in place. Slowly pulled element free making sure wires stayed attached and not lost in oven insulation. Removed two wires from old element. Attached wires to new element. Pushed wires back into oven rear wall. Reinstalled the previously removed two screws. Turned on breaker. Total time less than 10 minutes. Read more
