Then I had to unstack the dryer from the washer, remove all covers, disconnect all hose connections, shock mounts and springs and remove the tub assembly. I took the dryer apart.....first had to clean out all the lint here and there. Took the drum out, inspected the belt and back support wheels. They seemed to be fine. In the front the drum turns on two supports that have a Teflon glide. Those two glides had been worn off with their pad so metal was rubbing against metal. Found the right part at AppliancePartsPros.com, ordered the part, watched the tutorial. Took less than 5 minutes to install new door seal, and now our laundry area is no longer hot and humid. Ordered the gasket kit. The shipping time was quick. The installation was more difficult than anticipated. The inside of the door had to be removed there were about 30 hex head screws. the new gasket then had to be fitted to the interior of the door and then placed on the outer part of the door and the screws replaced. Ordered a new gasket, easily installed by popping into slots, took only a minute to install, had dryer three years and never happened before, suspect sheet caught in door when started and pulled gasket off. Thought about gluing gasket , decided to just be diligent about inserting clothes etc. Read more

I tore into the washer until i found what i thought was the problem which was the upper outer tub splash cover gasket and when i couldnt find one in my town i ordered a new one from u folks and replaced it hoping for the best and was successful. Volt Ohmmeter test indicated defrost thermostat and heater were OK. Defrost voltage measured ~25 VAC. I ordered all the most likely repair parts, but thought the control board had failed. I replaced the control board and the freezer has been working properly for several days. I haven't decided whether to keep or return the unused parts. I damaged the paint removing the electrical control. There must be a trick to protect the paint from the putty knife and screwdriver. Read more

Following the great video on the site, I pulled the motor off and was about to put the o-rings on when I noticed there was rust on the motor shaft. Very close inspection showed the o-rings were still good. Not having time to order a motor, and a local store was having a sale, I replaced the whole unit. Read more
