Crosley Refrigerator Parts

A friend's ice dispenser was not working so I told them I'd see what I could find on the forum. Originally I thought the micro switch had gone out. When I received the part and went to replace it I found that the little plastic tab that engages the micro switch was actually broken off on the Ice Actuator. I put a new bottom grill but I had to loosen up the socket bolt on the bottom corner so the grill can fit in. After that I had to tighten the socket bolt back up. There were three of them and only two were good and one of them was bad. There was two on the top and one on the bottom. I took the bottom and replaced it to the top left in order to hold the door and it be able to open and close. I also changed the rubber gasket door. I applied Vaseline around it. After watching numerous videos I was able to discern that the problem was with one of the following: the timer, the heater, or the thermostat. a short time check showed me that the timer was working so that narrowed it down to the other two. Not having the necessary tools to check those two I ordered both parts. The online video to change the water tube from the solenoid to filter was very helpful. It made the project straightforward. I had to replace the water tank tube as well. It was more challenging because there was no video for my model refrigerator (Frigidaire French Door) but a side-by-side unit video provided enough hints. I replaced the switch which was bad and also replaced the water inlet valve. Read more

This is the second time of needing repair. I remove the ice bucket, open the crusher, remove the 5 blades. Straighten the blades, reinstall. I then order new blades, The next time it happens I will install the new blades. The reason for the malfunction, (my guess), two ice cubes partially melted stick together and the size and angel the enter crusher cause the problem. Pulled shelves, filter, and filter housing, removed back panel, disconnected water line. Ran new line from water tank to valve, hooked up at filter housing. Cauked the hole where the lines go through. Read more

Attached drain hose extension and it more than reached the drain. Read more
