This is the second time of needing repair. I remove the ice bucket, open the crusher, remove the 5 blades. Straighten the blades, reinstall. I then order new blades, The next time it happens I will install the new blades. The reason for the malfunction, (my guess), two ice cubes partially melted stick together and the size and angel the enter crusher cause the problem. Ordered a replacement Drain Hose. $9.95 shipping seems high for a $5.55 part but it was delivered next day. This was better than promised!!! I pulled of the old hose and replaced it with the new. No tools required. Working like a charm. Read more

Ended up being the defrost sensor. Ordered the heater and control board just in case. Started with the control board still didn't defrost. replaced the sensor and all is well. Super helpful tech staff answered all my questions... Read more

Had to replace the ice container assy. They do not sell just the Ice Crusher assy. Bummer. It is a very easy fix. Just pull out old Ice Container Assy and replace with new one. Read more

First we tried to change the filter. Water was leaking from the area of the filter when we changed the filter. We purchased an "original" Fridgidaire filter, no change. Did some research on the internet and decided to change the two tubes and the filter valve (at the back of the filter housing). Must have been the right diagnostic and the right part to make the repair, Gave me an opportunity to clean the condenser coils as well. After 6 years of service they needed it badly. Read more
