Ordered the gasket kit. The shipping time was quick. The installation was more difficult than anticipated. The inside of the door had to be removed there were about 30 hex head screws. the new gasket then had to be fitted to the interior of the door and then placed on the outer part of the door and the screws replaced. Ice won't dispense or grinds loudly? A bent or worn crusher blade is often the culprit. This blade fits inside the ice bucket assembly. Easy DIY fix.
This is the second time of needing repair. I remove the ice bucket, open the crusher, remove the 5 blades. Straighten the blades, reinstall. I then order new blades, The next time it happens I will install the new blades. The reason for the malfunction, (my guess), two ice cubes partially melted stick together and the size and angel the enter crusher cause the problem.
