First replaced defrost timer which tested OK - but reasonable price and easy to replace. When that did not fix the problem replaced the defrost thermostat and defrost heater. That fixed the problem. However all three parts tested OK ?? May have been a loose connection or intermittent problem with one of the parts. Final cost for all three parts was much cheaper than a service call!! Read more

The online video to change the water tube from the solenoid to filter was very helpful. It made the project straightforward. I had to replace the water tank tube as well. It was more challenging because there was no video for my model refrigerator (Frigidaire French Door) but a side-by-side unit video provided enough hints. Ordered the gasket kit. The shipping time was quick. The installation was more difficult than anticipated. The inside of the door had to be removed there were about 30 hex head screws. the new gasket then had to be fitted to the interior of the door and then placed on the outer part of the door and the screws replaced. Called and asked what was wrong, your helpful people told me what I needed and ordered it right away. Watched the you tube video. Gathered my son and we proceeded to take on the job.( I handed him the screwdriver and held things in place.) Within minutes we had the job done. Removed the broken ice enclosure tray, disconnecting and removing the motor and cube/crushed ice selector mechanism. Mounted the motor and selector mechanism to the rear of the new ice tray enclosure and installed the enclosure to the freezer compartment walls. Read more
