Fix a dryer that won't heat, overheats, or runs too long. This thermostat cycles the heating element to maintain safe drying temperatures.
Dryer not heating or overheating? This high-limit thermostat cuts power when temperatures exceed safe levels. Common fix for no heat issues.
Replaced the thermostat and working fine now. Read more
This replacement moisture sensor bar mounts inside the drum and helps the dryer detect when laundry is dry. A worn or damaged bar can cause sensor-dry cycles to end too soon or run too long.
Dryer overheating or shutting down unexpectedly? The high-limit thermostat monitors temperature and cuts power to prevent damage. DIY repair in 30 minutes.
REPLACED BELT AND IDLER. TESTED AND FOUND THERMAL LIMITER BLOWN SO REPLACED IT. DRYER WORKS GOOD Read more
This time-delay fuse protects the appliance's power circuit by opening when current exceeds a safe level while tolerating brief inrush current. Replacing a blown fuse can help restore power once the root cause is corrected. What it does:
I read up on others with this problem of microwave-wall oven combination Whirlpool Gold. We live in a very rural area and were not able to get ANYONE to service it - had 2 companies come out to inspect but they never returned. I have wonderful news! We replaced the fuse, bus fuse, and light bulb (quit working 2 years ago) and all is working. Thanks for the information and for the part diagram. Couldn't have done it without you. Read more
This safety thermostat is a temperature-sensitive switch that helps protect your appliance from overheating. When excessive heat is detected, it opens the circuit to stop power to critical components, helping prevent damage and ensuring safe operation.
Dryer stopping mid-cycle or not heating consistently? The cycling thermostat regulates drum temperature. DIY-friendly repair, typically takes 30 minutes.
I don't have a multimeter so couldn't check all voltages or resistances on suspect parts. I assumed it had to be the two thermostat units - the thermostat or the dryer cycling thermostat. These were not expensive parts so ordered both and installed both. Very easy to remove back panel and replace with the new parts, making sure the OEM numbers were the same. Put back panel on, plugged back in and it fired right up - time will tell if these were the culprits. Not much left electronics wise on... Read more
This temperature sensor mounts on the sealed-system gas inlet line in compatible refrigerators. It relays precise temperature feedback to the control so cooling and defrost cycles are managed correctly, helping maintain stable compartment temperatures. What it does:
Dryer not heating or overheating? A faulty temperature control thermostat often causes inconsistent heat cycles. This part regulates dryer temperature.

This element repair kit restores a safe, solid electrical connection to an electric range/cooktop surface burner, helping the element heat consistently and reducing arcing after the original connector has overheated or loosened.
PLEASE UNPLUG DRYER FIRST. This was my first attempt at trying to fix my dryer (Maytag SDE515DAYW). Order the element kit Part Number AP4046564. The installation was easier than I thought. Just removed the two front panels and I was able to reach the back of the dryer, under the drum (this is where the heat element was located), disconnected the wires (took pictures first) and removed the two screws that held the heat element. Pulled the part down and it just slid off. Connected all the wires... Read more
Fix dryer that won't stop or shows tO error code. This moisture sensor assembly monitors drying cycles. Moderate DIY repair, 30-45 minutes.
Dryer not heating? A faulty thermistor inlet fails to monitor air temperature, preventing proper heating cycles. Direct replacement restores function.
Installed new thermal overloads, great company to do business with. Shipping is lighting speed. Will do business again. Thank you Read more
This dryer inlet thermostat monitors the temperature of incoming air and cycles the heater to maintain proper drying temperatures. Replacing a failed thermostat can restore consistent heat, help prevent overheating, and improve overall drying performance.
Dryer stops heating mid-cycle or cabinet overheats? The control thermostat regulates temperature by cycling the heater. Quick 20-minute DIY fix.

This 250V, 1A fuse protects your washer's control circuit from overcurrent. Replacing it can restore control power once the root cause is corrected.
Lid switch problem. Easy to fix, not so easy to diagnose. First thing to look at if something goes wrong and there does not appear to overtly be mechanical issue like pump, etc. Read more
These moisture sensor rods detect how damp the load is and signal the control, helping the dryer stop at the right time. Replacing worn or coated rods restores accurate Auto Dry performance and reduces damp loads or overdrying.
Chatted with Wendee and was told to replace the moisture sensor which fixed the issue Read more
