There is no aspect of small engine care more necessary than protecting the air that goes into the carburetor and cylinder from yard dust. While the air cleaner cover itself is not a moving part and would not seem to be subject to replacement, it is occasionally the case that, through extensive use or accidental contact, the cover becomes unable to shield the air filter within it.
