The constant cooking and age of the appliance I repaired corroded the housing attachment that holds the igniter in place to the burner. Also the screws that hold the burner in place to the stove cover were also corroded which caused the burner itself to not stay in place but fall into the stove. I thought this would be a simple remove and replace, boy was I wrong. This repair became more complicated then it should have been. The screws holding the skirt were frozen and broke when trying to remove. Had to end up cutting the skirt using a dremel and a cutting blade. Was able to remove one of the screws using a pinning plier. The other one I had to bore it out using a drill bit.
