A dual coil gas valve controls the flow of gas to your appliance's burners using two electromagnetic coils to open and close the valve. It regulates gas delivery to maintain safe, consistent flame operation. Replace this part if your burner won't light, gas flow won't shut off, or you notice uneven flames or a gas smell during operation.
I checked out a few youtube videos on trouble shooting a gas dryer that would not heat, like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8j6fQM3P34. Eliminated all the sensors as possible problems, leaving only the coils or more advanced problems. Took the chance it was one of the coils. I ordered both, replaced them both, put the dryer back together and fortunately that was the problem and it lit up and is running as good as new. Read more
The gas valve solenoid controls gas flow to the dryer's burner assembly for heating during drying cycles. Located near the gas valve, replace it when the dryer won't heat, heats intermittently, or won't ignite properly.
Dryer won't heat or you smell gas? The gas valve controls fuel delivery to the burner. Common fix for heating failures and gas leaks. Moderate DIY repair.

Fix a dryer that won't heat or cycles but doesn't ignite with this gas burner assembly. Restores consistent flame when the original is corroded or clogged.
Fix buzzing noises or no flame in your gas dryer with a new valve assembly. Solves igniter glow without ignition. Moderate DIY repair with basic tools.
First replaced the gas valve solenoids but that wasn't it. After further research, replaced the gas valve. The lock arm support on the new one didn't line up with the dryer lock base but I just bent the arm back a little to fit. Made sure to use gas tape (thicker) when reconnecting the gas pipe. Verified no leaks. No more high pitched buzzing noise. Read more
The Water Valve is an OEM part for GE electric dryers. Located near the bottom of the machine, it controls water flow into the condenser system during moisture-sensing cycles.
The moisture sensing function uses this valve to introduce precise amounts of water vapor into the exhaust air stream periodically. This allows the condenser to capture moisture readings accurately and determine optimal cycle time based on humidity levels.
Causes of failure include mineral buildup restricting flow, worn seals enabling leaks, or misaligned internal components hindering valve movement.
Symptoms of a faulty water valve are:
This part is also compatible with some Kenmore models using GE components.
This gas valve and pipe assembly controls and routes natural gas from the appliance inlet to the burner manifold, restoring proper fuel flow for ignition and stable burner operation. Designed as a direct-replacement service part. What it does
Dryer not heating? This gas valve assembly controls gas flow to the burner. Simple DIY repair with basic tools. Compatible with many dryer models.
Usually ships within 4 - 14 days
Dryer not heating or won't ignite? This gas valve and pipe assembly controls propane flow to the burner. Common fix for no-heat issues on gas dryers.
Dryer not heating? A faulty gas valve assembly often prevents gas flow to the burner. This part controls gas ignition for proper drying cycles.
Fix a dryer that won't heat with this gas valve assembly. Controls gas flow to the burner for proper drying. Common repair for no heat issues.
Dryer not heating or heating poorly? This gas burner assembly restores proper heat output. Moderately difficult repair requiring gas line disconnect.
