This flame detector shield protects the oven/range flame sensor by blocking direct heat and combustion debris so the sensor can accurately detect flame and help the appliance operate safely. It's a simple replacement part that restores proper sensing when the original shield is damaged or missing. What it does:

  • Shields the flame sensor/detector from direct flame, soot and debris to help reliable flame detection
  • Helps prevent false flame-fail signals that can cause ignition or shutoff problems
  • Reduces risk of sensor damage from heat exposure or mechanical contact
  • Used when the original shield is warped, cracked, corroded or missing
What's included:
  • One flame detector shield
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and shut off gas before servicing; follow appliance safety procedures
  • Handle metal edges carefully; use gloves to avoid cuts
  • Align and secure the shield to the burner/sensor bracket exactly as the original—do not bend or modify
  • After installation, check proper ignition and that the flame sensor detects flame before normal use
