Ordered a new Faceplate Graphics, removed old faceplate and installed new. Required removing control panel with switches and display, including 10 screws to get to the faceplate. Faceplate has glue on rim, so had to peel off old faceplate, remove residue, then put on new. Not difficult, but reaching to remove the screws was a little challenging in a small kitchen. • Element will not heat

My 1984 GE Electric Stove model number was very close to an another entry, but not actually in appliance repair pros' model numbers list. But my burners looked and measured the same for the near entry number, and the surface unit control switch looked very similar. I decided to take a chance and ordered 2 of each.. Replaced the switch took a total of about five minutes. I pulled the stove out and turned the breaker off so I only had to pull it out enough to get a 1/4 " nut driver in behind it. Removed three screws and the back cover came off. I pushed the switch threw from the back and switched over the two wires then reversed the process. • Little to no heat when broiling

Cut off power ,inside I remove the two back screws, remove the two front screws with hangers. Pull element out, clip wires so they don't fall back in holes with clothes pins. worked good. But wire connection to the broiler was to large, had to replace connectors, wire fell in hole, had to pull wall oven out and remove back panel. I then mounted the new element to oven. Replaced connectors ,connected connectors, closed back panel, put oven in place ,connected power lines. Turned power on. Works... Read more

I ordered a broiler element, watched the video and replaced the element when it arrived. I turned off the electrical breaker to the stove/oven. I then removed the oven door from the hinges and removed the 1/4" square head screws that secured the element in place,( the video showed phillip head screws ), removed the element wires from the old element. Replaced the element wires to the new element and reattached the element to the oven with the hex head screws. I then put the oven door back on... Read more

I first tried to purchase the part directly from GE but they were not helpful at all. Remembering that I had purchased a transmission and other parts from appliance parts pros for my old Maytag washer before, I searched their easy-to-use parts catalog and there it was!!!!
