Secures the igniter to the burner assembly in gas ranges and ovens. Replace if stripped, missing, or damaged during igniter replacement or repair.
I was getting really frustrated with our oven. It would preheat to the correct temperature, then slowly lose heat until it was down to about 200 degrees. So it took about two hours to heat a pizza! Finally decided to repair the oven myself, rather than pay $300.00 to have a repair person come out. Ordered the replacement igniter from AppliancePartsPros.com, and it arrived in two days. I followed the instructional video on the AppliancePartsPros.com website, and it was going well until I... Read more
Burner won't shut off or stays on high? The infinite control switch regulates surface burner heat. Easy DIY repair, typically 10-15 minutes to replace.
Replaced the large burner control switches for the ones giving trouble. Since the other two switches had seen as much use as the faulty ones, replaced them too. After putting in new switches, found that one large burner had burned out so replaced it also. Range now cooks as good as new Read more
If burners won't ignite automatically but light with a match, the spark module likely failed. Accessed from the back of the range, moderate difficulty.
Replaced spark module and all electrodes/igniters. Read more
Replaces a cracked, worn, or broken oven door hinge. Installs on the right side, allowing the door to open and close smoothly and securely.
I ordered both hinges (if the nylon roller was bad on the left, it was probably going to go bad on the right side as well). The web site was easy to navigate, order process simple. Hinges arrived quickly. Slide the oven door up and off. unscrew the three screws for the hinge. You need to then pull up with some force (there is a big spring in there), and twist the hinge to get the last bit out. I used a hemostat to hold the spring and keep it from falling back into the hole. removed the... Read more
Replace cracked, rusted, or chipped trim at the bottom of your range oven door. Installs with screws (sold separately) after removing the door.
Initially, I took it off, sanded it and painted with appliance touch-up. Still didn't look good so I ordered a replacement part and installed. Read more

Range burner won't shut off or heat properly? The infinite switch controls burner temperature. DIY-friendly repair takes about 15-20 minutes.
I ordered the infinite switch control from Appliance Parts Pro on a Wednesday afternoon and it arrived well packaged the next day even though I selected standard shipping. Thank you for the easy ordering and fast delivery! Replacing the old switch was easy: 1. Disconnect the power to the stove 2. Make sure the power is off to the stove 3. Pull 4 burner control knobs off and remove 4 large nuts attached to the 4 burner switches 4. Lift the face plate off and clean previously hidden cooking... Read more
Convection mode not working or uneven baking? This convection heating element restores consistent heat distribution. Straightforward DIY fix.
I visited Appliance Pros website and indicated the problem we were having etc. Found the suspected part (heating element), went on YouTube and found out how to remove the part from the oven and test it with a multi-meter. Keep in mind I have never used a multi-meter before or made repairs to an oven before. However, I have used Appliance Pros before to fix a refrigerator problem just a month earlier and after watching their video it was a very easy repair. Anyway, I tested the old convection... Replace a non-heating or broken 6-inch cooktop burner element. This plug-in surface element fixes uneven heating. DIY-friendly, 30-minute repair.
Going on line and viewing your website, you provided a very easy way to get me to a picture that was exactly what I wanted with the exact (old style) connections. I had previously gone to Home Depot twice, and I still did not get the correct burner that I needed. Your website was great, I should have gone there first. I used the part that I received from AppliancePartsPROS.com and replaced the defective, old and non-working surface element. It was easy, I used a screw driver to snap off a... Read more
Inner oven door glass installs inside the door cavity behind the outer panel. Replace if shattered, cracked, or broken to restore viewing window function.
I ordered the part from APP, removed the door, removed the inside panel and replaced the glass. Hardest part was figuring out exactly which screws to remove to open the door. Read more
Fix burners that won't ignite or spark continuously. This spark module controls ignition for all surface burners. DIY repair in about 45 minutes.
Refer to Mynor T. of Draper, UT Aug. 12, 2018 write-up. I benefited greatly from the above write-up. It took me a little less time to perform this repair (excluding cleaning the assembly) due to the write-up. This GE Profile gas burner cook top is a “drop-in” model meant to be installed into counter top cut outs. The glass top edges are the actual support area for the entire cook top assembly. The burner bases (on top of the glass top) are screwed to the metal case enclosure (located beneath... Read more
Holds the gas orifice in place at the front burner on gas ranges. Replace if cracked, broken, or kinked from repeated lifting of the cooktop.
Once I watched the video on your site about gas line install, it became apparent why the line bent when I raised the lid.. also discovered those two rods have nest to go into and the lid/top now sets down tight as designed ( and as an added bonus, gas smell disappeared during oven use) I ordered the gas lines with the model number, ordered all four …. it was a bit of a chore one came up when site opened I picked it, but did not know if it was the RH or LH etc.. so reading some of your answers... Burner won't heat or heats unevenly? This 6 inch radiant element restores consistent cooking performance. Typical DIY repair takes 30-45 minutes.
This repair was on a GE glass Cooktop range. This range has two indicator lights, a Burner On light, and a Hot Cooktop Light. The problem I was having was, the Hot Cooktop stayed on all the time (24x7), even when the cooktop surface had been off for hours and was cold. YouTubes that I viewed were all misleading on this symptom. They all pointed to the switch, which is the fix for the Burner Light staying on, not the Hot Cooktop Light staying on. I figured it out by going to the schematic.... Read more
