The Switch Rocker is an OEM part for Frigidaire ranges. This switch is used to control various functions of the range, such as turning on heating elements or activating specific cooking modes. It provides a reliable and straightforward interface for managing the range's features.

  • Physical damage or looseness in the switch
  • Intermittent operation or complete failure to activate the desired function

I purchased 2 new light rocker switches, Because the heating element rocker switch was unavailable. First I removed the power source for safety. Then I simply pulled each switch out individually with a flathead screwdriver for leverage. I simply unplugged the wires from the old rocker switch, discarded the old rocker, plugged the wires into the new rocker switch, and pushed the new switch appropriately back into the control panel. I used the same steps for both rocker switches. Once... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You This was for a friend of mine his refrigerator stopped cooling   Gary G. • Ofallon , MO • July 12, 2015

This was a 2000 model so rather than just replace the defrost timer which was visibly burnt on the terminals, we just did everything. The cold control, defrost timer, thermostat, defrost heater and the compressor capacitor were all replaced. I had the same issue on my older unit and tore it apart replacing one item at a time over a three month period so on an older one i suggest do it all while it is apart. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Grill on air duct had an item melt on to it and partially block air flow   Charles C. • Orchard Park , NY • November 25, 2017

It was easy to find the part on appliance parts pros. Once I found it I studied the diagram and determined that there were 3 screws in the drum that needed to be removed. I disconnected power and then removed 3 interior screws. Once I did that I removed the back cover and removed the single screw on the bottom side of the air duct that held it in place connected to the heat tube. I then reversed disassembly. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You High pitched squeal and loud rumbling on Electrolux electric dryer model # EFME517SIW0   Curtis H. • Stillwater , MN • May 25, 2019

I encountered a high pitched squeal and loud rumbling. I figured the sounds were likely the rollers despite not matching other sounds on the repair videos for other dryers. The repair video for dryer rollers on AppliancePartsPros.com is of little use until Minute 2:56 because this Electrolux 517 model uses mostly Phillips head screw to fasten the front and top panels in place. You may find one latch at the top front center that holds the top and front panels in place. After unplugging the... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You There was a strong smell of mold coming from the door boot.   Thomas H. • Netcong , NJ • June 12, 2022

I replaced the door boot with a new one from AppliancePartsPros.com. The most difficult part was starting at the back end of the new boot onto the stationary rim, just in front of the tub. And then anchoring it in place with the existing spring from the previous boot. To start the boot I had to hook the top edge of the boot, where the arrow tab is, onto the rectangular projection on the tub rim and then roll the rubber boot edge down around the tub rim and hope the rim was going into the...
