Initially I noticed the crusher drum was cracked and broken so I replaced the drum the retaining nut on the end of the auger and the circlip and washer. it worked fine for a time and then the drum began free wheeling. upon further inspection I discovered the retain nubs on the auger had worn down allowing the blade to slip down the auger body. so I replaced the auger, drum, drive blade, and drive cam. I removed two sheet metal screws to remove the panel above the washing machine lid. That exposed four more phillips drive sheet metal screws, after removing those the dashboard control panel is held by two smaller black screws slightly recessed in the lower corners. This allowed the panel to be pulled down from the top, revealing the back of the switch. Watched a few of your videos and ordered the springs and a insert, and actually got the parts right. I am not a Appliance repair guy but I am retired and I am pretty handy so I thought what the heck. Replaced the fan and blade. Would have been easy except the mounting threads were different than the original Kenmore freezer came with. After a 14 mile round trip for 2 5/32 screws and washers, I had my freezer back. Included an improved wiring harness than the original. Read more
