First I verified there was good water volume getting to the door, by uncoupling the hose at the door bottom (press in coupler ring) and activating the dispenser, there was not. First I ordered a new ice door seal, spring, and crank, figuring the condensation in freezer and door was caused by ice door not sealing. Turns out the solenoid for the ice door was completely rusted and was the primary cause, if it had been replaced early, it would have saved the dispenser board. What then happened was the moisture in the freezer door damaged the control board rendering dispenser controls inoperative as well as the heater around the dispenser. Filter replacement is easy. CAUTION. When removing the wand that is immediately above this filter you must reach around the back base and feel for a tab sticking out. Pull on it and lift the wand up. If not you may break the tab off which is a retainer needed for the center wand that supplies water to the upper rack.
