I ordered new knobs with lettering on them. AppliancePartsPros.com enabled me to order the correct knobs by putting in the model number of the stove and by showing closeup pictures of the front and back of the knobs. For example, one out the the 4 knobs was for the simmer burner. I was given this information and that knob has "simmer" on it while the other 3 don't. This wasn't really a 'fix' but here's what happened. Over the last 24 years the knobs on our JennAir electric cooktop were broken. Generic replacements didn't fit exactly. I constantly had to take them off, adjust the connector, and put them back. I'm selling the house and the inspection report noted this, so the buyer wanted them replaced.
