• Will not fill with water

As mentioned, our Whirlpool Dishwasher would complete the cycle but Tablet pretty much sat in the Soap Dispenser Box nor there was any sign of water inside the Dishwasher. This happened 2 - 3 times. • Leaking

Replaced both inlet valves, no joy. Upon further inspection, found ice maker harness extremely tight at lower freezer door hinge, clamped in place right at a pivot point. Essentially the harness is held in place and rotates with the door. 6 wires broken inside. Splice repair and ice maker now works. Most likely will have to replace harness eventually. Unless there is more slack inside the freezer door this will probably happen again. Very poor design. Read more

Replaced the water line and water supply solenoid valve (slight weeping at valve body also). This is a 3 year old whirlpool refrigerator, model WRX988SIBM00. A crack in the water line after only 3 years is a poor design. My intent was to replace the entire water line from the valve to the filter. Cycle would complete but dishes weren't clean (not even really wet) and soap wasn't dissolving. Could hear fill at start but maybe not spraying or filling again in cycle. Thought it was the control board, but actually this was not the error. Replaced the control board and same problem arose, only new control board version actually stopped cycle with message that dishwasher couldn't fill. Dishwasher washer would not drain after hearing glass-like particles during the drain cycle despite trying to clean the cylinder filter. Originally suspected the drain motor was damaged. 1. Sleeve for input, Injector valve, nozzle and seal for input fixed this problem. Probably the main part that was the trouble was a deformed Injector Valve which is a rubber tube with an internal retention groove at the wide part that grips the Nozzle. The Sleeve and the Nozzle are hard plastic parts that basically looked fine, but I replaced them anyway while I was in there. The tech sheet test 56 said the motor wouldn't return to zero. I ordered the "Ice Maker Assy-Lp, and the Valve Assy-Water Dual". On my particular model the ice maker is in the ceiling of the refrigerator box. After removing the water filter and two screws around the drop down water filter door, the right side panel drops down by pulling it apart from 3 plastic pop-ins. Replaced the water valve. Easy repair. The repair video was spot-on. Tools needed: Slip joint pliers for removing and attaching the hoses and moving the hose clip. 5/16 nut driver. Phone to take a picture so I could get the wires put back right. Shut off the water and unplug from power. Remove the hoses. Being an ex maintainence. person, I went down and turned off the water supply. Then I started to try to find the leak by removing the rear covers for the compressor and valves. The dual inlet valve was the problem. The hardest part of the repair was moving the refrigerator so we could unplug it. The whole job took about 25 minutes and that includes the time we spent emptying and reorganizing the shelves. I love AppliancePartsPros.com. I figured the valve that allowed water into the dishwasher was bad, or some controlling function of this process. I went online, typed in model number and had a full exploded view of the parts in my dishwasher. I ordered the inlet solenoid valve as the first step to what may be wrong.
