This was a pretty easy fix. Removed the screws around the perimeter of the inside cover of the door and pressed the outer door cover upward to release it from slots retaining it. There are four wires to remove (2 for the detergent door release and 2 for the rinse agent release). Removed the 6 screws retaining the dispenser assembly and inserted the new one. Reassembly is simply in reverse order. Problem solved for less than the cost of a service technician's call! Read more

Appeared to be two problems: the latch was worn and one of the pins that slid in a guide on the actuator located in the inner panel had broke off. Detergent lid spring and pin appeared to be OK but decided to replace since I was aready working on it. I ordered all the inner panel mechanism from the control arm to the latch actuator on the inner panel. The repair was successful as the detergent dispenser now opens during its cycle. Read more

I ordered a new vario motor and a soap dispenser. I turned off the water and the breaker, disconnected the water line and the power at the front base of the unit, disconnected the drain hose from the garbage dispenser, and pulled out the dishwasher and laid it on a blanket on its face. I unscrewed and removed the plainly visible vario motor on the bottom of the machine and removed the cam from the shaft. The cover was easy to remove with 3 star head screws. I entered my model number on AppliancePartsPros.com dreading the cost I was about the encounter. Repair parts arrived super fast. Installed the new parts according to the supplied instructions. All went well. It took over 2 hours because the unit had to be removed after the water and power were disconnected and then the initial problem diagnosed (motor brushes worn beyond service limits). My husband expected we needed a new dishwasher but I insisted on trying to fix it first. You need a Torx screwdriver so make sure you have a set. A little difficult to get cover back on and lined up by myself, but I managed and this was my first attempt at major appliance repair. I replaced the entire console and the dispenser. Took door off, saw that dispenser linkage was ok, I could open and close by hand, so figured the wax motor or the wiring to it were most likely the problem. I took off the wax motor ( actuator) and ran 120 volts to it via jumper wires, and it did not move at all, so figured good chance that was the problem.
