Ordered a new pump and installed, took about 15 min. Reinstalled the dishwasher and tested still not draining. Disassembled and checked for pump power and found no problem. Removed drain hose from pump housing and found a blockage cleaned out blockage and hooked up the shop vac to drain hose under sink and made sure it was clean. Figured it was either the capacitor and/or motor. Ordered both parts to be sure. tried changing the capacitor first; same problem. Replaced the motor (leaving the new capacitor in place). Unit now works fine. Overall an easy fix once you get the washer out and tip it on its side or top to get access to the motor area. Read more

Replaced the control board as it was intermittent. This did not solve the issue, the pump would no longer run at all. Then I replaced the waste pump after the board replacement and this issue was resolved. This in fact fixed the machine. Water had broached the armature shaft seal and allowed the pump to run intermittently for a while after the breach.
