This is a water deflector or baffle that mounts inside the dishwasher tub, typically at a corner, to direct water flow during the wash and rinse cycles. It helps ensure water is properly channeled for effective cleaning and prevents leaks at the door seal area. Replace this part if it is cracked, missing, or if you notice water leaking from the dishwasher door during operation.
I went to YouTube and put in my issue and saw the video on how to replace the seals and deflectors in my dishwasher. I then spoke to a local repair guy and he said that I was on the right track on replacing those parts first. The price he gave me were pretty high on the parts. I was able to go to Whirlpool website and obtain the part codes that I need to replace and found this website to be the cheapest. Appliance parts pro. Com. It was easy to order and real easy to replace. So I replace... Read more

Replacement door spring for dishwashers. Installs behind the lower panel to counterbalance door weight. Replace if broken, snapped, or worn from metal fatigue.
A shout out to A.P.P.: Quality parts always come quickly and are what I ordered. No, they are not always the cheapest nor do they have all parts for everything (who does?) but their website is the easiest to use and cost differences are usually slight. I have found A.P.P. trustworthy and reliable for the ten or so purchases I've made. This repair process requires that the DW be completely free from cabinet sidewalls. For me that meant pulling the DW from its installed undercounter space. I... Read more

Balances dishwasher door weight for controlled opening and closing. Replace if door drops suddenly, spring snaps, or plastic connector breaks or wears out.
Without knowing exactly what broke I ordered 2 springs and 2 door spring links. I knew the door springs were weak and a parts man told me many years ago to always replace BOTH springs or the one you didn't replace will soon break. It is a simple procedure, just remember how the springs/links are attached. make a simple drawing or take a picture should you need it. I watched two "how to" video's which made it look harder to do than it really is. Turn the circuit breaker off and turn the... Read more

Ordered replacement belt from your co. Read an online tip on how to replace the new unbelievably tight belt... 'Carefully loosen the new belt by pulling it upward with your hands and keeping your foot on the opposite end. Then mount the new belt on the pump assembly ABOVE the pump pulley wheel. Stretch the other side of the belt over the motor pulley wheel. Now roll the pump side of the belt down onto the pump wheel. Apply the silicon lubricant included with the new belt and rotate it... Fix dirty water backing up into your dishwasher with this check valve assembly. Prevents backflow from sink disposal. Easy 30-minute DIY repair.
I checked the drain hose for blocking at the garbage disposal and then at the connection point to the dishwasher. The hose was clear and nothing was obviously obstructing where the drain hose connects to the dishwasher. At this point I Googled the model number with the term "will not drain" and immediately landed on the AppliancePartsPros.com website. At the Drain & Wash Impeller Kit page amazingly had a video showing the technician replacing the impeller on a dishwasher essentially the same as... Read more
This replacement dishrack restores secure loading and proper spacing so wash water reaches every item. Replacing a bent or rusty rack helps prevent tipped dishes and marks from flaking rust, and keeps loading/unloading smooth when the rack rollers are intact.
Ordered new top rack and changed out the rusty one. Taking the washer arm off the old one and putting it on the new one was a bit challenging but my husband is good with those things and it went well. Beware that NO instructions come with the rack and there is a bagful of parts that are probably if you want to change rollers or something. Read more
Leaking from the bottom or center of your dishwasher? The sump housing with included shaft seal often fixes this issue. DIY-friendly with video guide.
DIY, changed motor and sump. Put a dab of valve lubricant on seal. Wet outer seal of sump to get it to seat in bottom of tub. Cleaned electrical connectors corroded by leak. Coated connectors with dielectric grease. Had to buy additional clamp. Two clamps came in the sump package but both fit the smaller hose only. Neither fit the large hose. I wish the correct clamps were included. Home improvement store clamp is a little too wide to fit between ridges in large hose. Read more
