Chopper screen was completely blocked. Chopper blades separated from the shaft. Retainer ring came off of the shaft but was able to re install the chopper assembly. Worked fine after cleaning the screen and reassembly the lower spray arm. Lower spray arm hub tab broke when removing so purchased a new one with a new bearing. Our 7 y/o dishwasher wouldn't close and therefore we couldn't get it to run. I called several service places who charged $75-$90 diagnostic plus parts & labor, and they were not able to get here for at least a week. I knew it was going to run at least $200. Appeared to be two problems: the latch was worn and one of the pins that slid in a guide on the actuator located in the inner panel had broke off. Detergent lid spring and pin appeared to be OK but decided to replace since I was aready working on it. I ordered all the inner panel mechanism from the control arm to the latch actuator on the inner panel. The repair was successful as the detergent dispenser now opens during its cycle. Read more

Normally when you let go of the dishwasher door partly open it would stay in that position. But lately when you let go of the door it would fall to the fully open position. Turns out this little cable was broken one one side. Just puss the dishwasher slightly out of the cabinet and you can replace the cable in minutes. It is just held in place with a spring. Read more

Removed bottom cover, located leak at float switch, removed and replaced float switch kit. The toughest part of the repair was removing the Float & Retainer Assembly (in the interior of the machine tank) which broke when I pushed it back and pulled it straight up as suggested in the service manual. Found the correct USA made OEM part from Appliance Pros, and installed it on my new Dishwasher. The use of this correctly manufactured Adapter prevented any damage to the threads of the dishwashers inlet solenoid valve which is made of a plastic material. If I had forced the after market adapter onto the solenoid valve instead of ordering the OEM adapter; it would have ruined the threads on the plastic solenoid valve resulting in the need to purchase a very expensive replacement valve. ... We initially noticed the dishwasher running loud and failing to completely clean dishes.
