  • Opens at the specified temperature to interrupt the heating circuit and cycles the heater on/off
  • Helps maintain consistent drum temperature for reliable drying performance
  • Can prevent continuous heating that can cause overheating
  • Common symptom: dryer heats erratically, runs but doesn't reach proper temperature, or overheats
What's included: One cycling thermostat (140°F) Install notes:
  • Disconnect power to the dryer before inspecting or replacing the thermostat
  • Locate the thermostat on the heater assembly/blower housing per your model's service guide
  • Replace with the same temperature-rating thermostat and secure all wiring connections
  • Test the thermostat for continuity with a multimeter

Found that when I "jumped" the hi limit thermostat the gas valve operated. So just went ahead and R/R the Hi limit thermostat, thermo-fuse, and the cycling thermostat. No problems. Read more
