Maytag Range / Cooktop / Oven Switch

After looking at several YouTube videos that were only moderately helpful for my particular model, I disconnected the power at the breaker, disconnected the wires below the cooktop to the junction boxed lifted the whole unit out, including the fan assembly. I flipped it upside down and took off the screws holding the unit to the glass top. Although the new fan switch did not look the same as the original switch, the new switch does fit. By replacing the switch, the front right burner correctly turned on the igniter and worked. Repair took about 5 minutes. Very easy to do. Read more

Went on line to find the part number. Once I had the number I searched for the part. Found it, had it shipped overnight and installed it with the help of a video from youtube. Read more

I replaced both the element and the switch. It was a relatively easy fix, although I needed a second set of hands to hold the stovetop upright while I did the replacement. The entire job took about 45-60 minutes. Read more

Ordered the part and a few days later it arrived and I turned off the power and took a few screws out and unpluged the old one and pluged in the new .. Works like a charm.. Was very easy to fix.... Read more

Ordered ignitor harness and two burners (Holder/Orifice) and with supplied videos spent about 40 minutes exchanging parts - saved roughly $500. Must say, great parts (look original), good price, easy web site and, most of all, helpful video! Read more

A few weeks back, when shutting off a burner, the igniter started sparking and wouldn't stop. Working the knobs and jiggling them got it to stop. Fast forward a few weeks. Finish cooking, go sit down to eat. Hear snapping noise, go look, see burners are all off and the igniters are all sparking. Jiggle the knobs. Poof! Flames come out the top one! What a stink. Removed rocker switch,made up jumper so the compactor could be used while awaiting replacement switch. The part came 2 days later and was installed in less tha 5 minutes. Unit working like new again. Thanks for the great service!! Read more
