Replaced entire ice maker. A couple of important points. (1) The ice maker module does not include all parts. The door flap for example is not included. So save all plastic parts from the old unit including screws. The biggest installation problem was the power cable. There was little room on the side of the ice maker for the cable and connectors to fit. Make sure the connector that mates with the refrigerator cable is seated onto the plastic housing and does not stick out or dangle out.... Read more

Well, I took it out (it slides out) to get a good look at it,so i could ref pictures on your site..naturally I had serial/model of refrig,and thats mandatory to get the right part. It came in 2 days,,and being just the bucket, it took only a few minutes to transfer the auger assembly/cube/crusher.... into the new one, 6 screws total..Your site has excellent vids on DIY.......I HIGHLY reccomend. Whole process was'nt over 15 minutes, piece of cake....And NOW i can go back to my nightly 'scotch... Read more

The right door on our Jenn Air French Door Refrigerator would pop open & not fully close when the left door was closed first. Called the local distributor/dealer who advised me that the magnetic door gasket probably needed replacement (cost $300.00 + for the repair) What??? Bought new optic control boards, both the emitter and the receiver. The repair process was so simple. The KitchenAid repair tech came out to diagnose our issue. He was only going to come back and install a new emitter. They wanted a lot of money to do the repair. They were going to charge us $257 just for the part (emitter board). We bought both boards for $300 from AppliancePartsPros. We decided to replace both boards, because if one went bad the other might not be far behind. Read more

Replaced both primary and secondary water valves to make sure I fixed the problem. Both valves have to open when you function the water dispenser and when the ice maker tray needs refilling. YouTube video was a great help and let me know that I had to lengthen one hose. The video showed me the exact parts I needed to lengthen the hose. YouTube video also let me know that I had needed to transfer the internal springs in the hoses when I cut the old connections off. Never would have known... Read more

Although the solenoid I purchased did not fix the problem, nor the "mother electronic board", or the motor, my experience with Appliance Parts Pros has been excellent.
