I watched a YouTube tutorial on "fridge's not cooling". A few troubleshooting ideas were discussed, one of which was to replace the "device start" and "run Capacitor". I probably only needed the device start but decided to purchase both through "AppliancePartsPros.com" for a total of $134. Replaced both primary and secondary water valves to make sure I fixed the problem. Both valves have to open when you function the water dispenser and when the ice maker tray needs refilling. YouTube video was a great help and let me know that I had to lengthen one hose. The video showed me the exact parts I needed to lengthen the hose. YouTube video also let me know that I had needed to transfer the internal springs in the hoses when I cut the old connections off. Never would have known... Read more

Although the solenoid I purchased did not fix the problem, nor the "mother electronic board", or the motor, my experience with Appliance Parts Pros has been excellent. Buy a new door shelf bar! I ordered it and two end caps (I didn't know the things existed) and shortly the package came from Appliance PartsPROS.com. Bought new optic control boards, both the emitter and the receiver. The repair process was so simple. The KitchenAid repair tech came out to diagnose our issue. He was only going to come back and install a new emitter. They wanted a lot of money to do the repair. They were going to charge us $257 just for the part (emitter board). We bought both boards for $300 from AppliancePartsPros. We decided to replace both boards, because if one went bad the other might not be far behind. Read more

The fan blade had vibrated down the shaft of motor and was hitting the fan supports. I replaced motor and new fan blade. The motor was still operating but since I had everything opened up I changed out the motor anyway. Freezer working fine now. The only unforeseen problem is there was a black wire that had to be transferred to the three prong wiring harness. Read more
